Ordering first rig-something missing?

Hi, i'm just about to order my first rig. The parts are sure, i talked about that with my local rigger/my instructors. My question is now:: if you order a rig, you order your rig itself, the main and reserve canopy and the aad. But are there other parts that aren't included such as softlinks, pod... that you have to order seperately? thx a lot blue skies stay safe :-)

If you're ordering everything new, then yes, you will get all the parts that you need.

Containers come with pilot chutes (Main/Reserve), free bag/bridle. Main pod/deployment bag), and risers.

Canopies come with links/softlinks.

If you are buying used, clarify with the seller as to what is actually coming with the item (they should all come with the appropriate parts though).

Buying new?
Every manufacturer has their own standard parts and a list of options you can purchase.

Have you looked at the manufacturer's order form and web site?

In general, you'll get all those parts he listed above as standard.

My reality and yours are quite different.

the only thing not included in there is the case of beer for the inauguration of the rig.

The easy way to remember it is this.

Your rig comes complete with everything you need from the top of the risers to the bottom of the legstraps, and from the top skin of the canopies to the tip of the pilot chutes.

What type of Rig are you getting? I purchased mine from Chutingstar and Mike sent me an expensive backpack to try out!
