BA in Sociology, with a lot of romance languages on the side. Therefore I'm a programmer now :S

No, but I still want one. Back in 89 I won a small scholarship to UW Stout. Unfortunately, supporting myself and now a family has made that all but disappear. Needless to say, if I were to go back, it would probably be to get my commercial pilot certificate. That's something I've always wanted to do.....

Seb, that's really great that you want to finish school. And it sounds like you want to do it for the right reason - for yourself.
I am going into my fifth year of college working on a Marketing degree, and with only a semster left I can't wait to experience the feeling of accomplishing a goal that took me 17 years to get. Seb, going back to school is not such a bad idea even if you do have a bad ass job.

Bachelor of Science in journalism, minors in political science and French. I'm using my degree, albeit a bit unhappily. I'm worried that my skill set is way too narrow to do anything but newspapers. :(

If I could do anything, I'd work in an exotic pet shop specializing in parrots. :)

3 colleges and several years later, I'm just now ready to get back into school to finish up my degree(s). :$
Philo/Psych/Biz
with a minor in Latin, yo.

It's kind of weird hopping back into school at 26... all those little chumps in there looking at me like I've got asparagus growing out of my ears... but at least when the professors make references to 80's bands and movies, I know what they are talking about.
Go me!

It's even wierder once you're on the other side of 35. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA at the local community college - okay, so I've only taken one class so far, two years ago before my back went out. I thought most of the "younguns" were pretty cool; they starting talking to me a lot more once they figured out what I do for fun. ;)

Registering this month for spring semester. One of these days I'll figure out what I want to do with my life (i.e. choose a major); in the meantime I'll work on gen. ed. and enjoy exercising my brain again.

I just graduated in June with my BA in English and my Master's in Business. I have to start paying off the loans in 2-weeks :(. I just wish I had paid as I went. Best of luck to you!

I wish I could. I had one year right after high school, and some credits here and there over the next 15 years...I hold a 4.0, too. I have a bunch of credits, but figuring out which ones transfer and which ones I have to repeat has been a bear. Some places accept some, but not others, and vice versa for the rest.

I've been looking into CLEP, and have taken some of their exams. I've passed well on those, and will be finishing the general course sometime in the future. They are not widely accepted, either.

Maybe someday I'll figure out what I'm good at, and get the education to support it.

BA in English and a BFA (fine arts) got them both at the same time (although it took 5 years) because i didnt know what i wanted..then joined the army and OJT in radar and tracking systems, the basis for the job i have now..working on my CCNA because i need some technical paper to back up my experience

I agree I don’t think a degree is necessarily worth the ink used to print it..i watched far to many ignorant f$^@ graduate with various business, psych, sociology, phys ed,.. etc degrees based mostly on the archive flies their fraternities and sororities maintained.

They left knowing less than when they started, but checked off the right boxes, and so graduated with letterhead from the same college I attended. Not to imply that my major(s) was better than theirs, I studied what interested me, not what I thought would help get a job, but I did learn quite a bit in college and it really affected my world view. I doubt most of them can say the same.
