Skyrad 0 #81 December 3, 2002 BSc Hons Diagnostic Radiography. Plan on doing my MSc later this year. However I didn't start straight after school but when I was 26, started with a Diploma in Health and Paramedical studies. Good luck. Slappie 9 #86 December 3, 2002 QuoteI never finished college. I finished about two years before I was unable to continue and took time off to work and well it's something I have thinking about a lot lately. Going back to school anyway. I do have a very good job right now, but I don't feel complete without a degree. It has been almost 7 years since I was in school. Been working hard since then. Just curious, what's the deal with everyone else? Sebazz1 I'm right there with you.. I'm now 35yo an looking at 36 really soon. I went for about 2.5yrs an dropped out to go to work ect.. For about that last 2 years I've been feeling I need to go back.. Then reality has sunk in.. I'll probably not try to finish. Bubbles {aka CO Shawn} has started school an I've looked over her homework ect.. MAN I FORGOT SOOOOOOO MUCH!! Yea yea.. I know if I was to try an go back it's pretty much like riding a bike. Maybe when Shawn finsihed her school I'll go take a 2yr course in something just to get a piece of paper.. Can't hurt me. happythoughts 0 #88 December 3, 2002 Quote Well, I posted asking for your opinions on this a few months ago---I'm going back to school full time. (Thanks to everyone for all of you input on that one, by the way) At 29 years old the thought of living at home again is a little depressing, but I know it will all be worth it when I finally graduate in about a year or so. The journey begins in January when I quit my job, look for a part time one, move home & dive into the books! This is kinda for everyone who is pursuing a degree that will take a while... Look at it this way...If you think you are too old to be in school...One year from now, how old would you be if you didn't pursue the education? Your life without the education will place you in the same spot you are now, except one year later. The school time will interfere with what? Most people have plenty of extra time. When I did my Oracle certification class (2 nights class, 2 study each week), I missed a bunch of half-azzed tv shows and some boring nights watching football at bars. "Luck is when training meets opportunity." Get the training, be prepared when an opportunity presents itself and your life can move to another plateau. Otherwise, your life becomes stagnant. Invent your own life.
