reprobate 0 #14 November 23, 2002 "been to long , little nervous" Makes me feel not so alone. I also haven't jumed in 3 months. I got banged up by a horse while on vacation and now my Mother, a breast cancer survivor, is in hospital with another type and needs lots of visits. I know I will be not just a little nervous but a whole lot.Carl

dove 0 #17 November 23, 2002 Hey guys. I was completely NWB for 12 weeks. It was 4 months before I made my first jump back. I thought I'd be real nervous but actually it was more like coming home. It all comes right back.Only thing that gave me the heebie jeebies was turning on final. But I landed on my feet and life was grand. Good luck! Fall in dove. KawiZX900 0 #18 November 23, 2002 aahhh !!!!!!!! it's been to long, had a little performance anxiety on the landing even though it was a slow flyin triathalon 190, i still managed to give myself an uneven flare. i was mad nervous about re injuring myself, but i got out there, tried to sit, and guess what, i can't fly anymore. belly flying is still easy. guess i'll lhave to start jumping every weekend again now........... ohhh welll skydive san diego is cool.. very cool scenery and landing area. good packing area. good rental gear. not the latest and greatest, but well taken care of and functional. instructor dude i requalled with is an incredibly proficeant freeflyer.... i know peace, once again. it's good to get back to it......... Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. dropdeded 0 #19 November 23, 2002 YO dropdeded, hows the physical therapy going? Still in some pain and discomfort?, same here. I really screwed up some nerves in my foot. Man, I hope you get better soon and can get back in the air. Keep an eye on that picnic table, I know I am, Doc says I can start trying to jog come the 12/01/02. ------------------------------------------------------------ Well Chile(got it this time,E not I),Im really in a kinda confusing situation as far as gettin back at it.I was in a cast 6 weeks, went for x rays, told me to give it 2 more weeks.Went back and got x rays 2 weeks later and they took it off.Said I could go back to work monday(4 days later). The Doc said no need for physical therapy, just take it easy for awhile.OK,good deal.Told her I would need a doctors ok to resume skydiving so she wrote,"no skydiving for 2 weeks".The 2 weeks was up last thursday. The back of my calf (was small bone,2 clean breaks)aches like a son of a bitch sometimes.I guess it could be the muscle and that will get better. What bugs me is that my ankle has gotten steadily more painful.Dont know if it was fractured in any way or what but I know it hurts. It may be the cold, damp weather we got goin here in Bakersfield.(50s in the morning, brrr). I went for orientation friday and I start classes monday and with my courses(medical emergency management)I dont think it will happen if end up with another cast if thats the problem with the ankle.Pretty friggin lame excuse as far as causing permanent damage but Im gonna give it a little more time before I head to the ortho again. As far as bein signed off to jump, thats a done deal but if I DO jump right now,it would pretty much be a "DUMB" deal.Im thinkin I will be jumpin off picnic tables at the park next week,I hope. Anyways, blah blah blah Thanks for askin, ChilE (with an E ! ) dropdeded pcss(officialy)#26 ------------------------------------------ The Dude Abides. -
