highfly 0 #1 November 19, 2002 Was anyone lucky enough to see the meteor storm last night? I am based in the UK and I think there was a huge cloud of fog covering the view. Stayed up till 2 to see if it cleared, but unfortunatly it didn't. No wishes for me last night www.myspace.com/durtymac
scottbre 0 #2 November 19, 2002 I'm in Indianapolis, IN, and it was cloudy and rainy all night last night as well. Sort of sucks cause I was looking forward to it. Oh well, I'll just have to try to see it next 33-year-interval. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project

coconutmonkey 0 #5 November 19, 2002 Hey all, it was great in NC. Got up early before PT and sat in the tub for a few and watched it. Unfortunately left the cover off last night and it cooled considerably so I didn't stay for long, but lots and lots of firey streaks across the sky. mega Hearts & Minds 2 to the Heart- 1 to the Mind- Home of the Coconut Lounge, Spa, & Artillery Range

wmw999 2,452 #15 November 19, 2002 Actually, I did. Got up at 4:00, went out and watched for about an hour in a dark part of my suburban subdivision. Saw probably 20-30 meteors, including a couple of simultaneous sets. Pretty cool. Then I went back to sleep, and that was awesome Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. cgross 1 #16 November 19, 2002 I got uphere on Long island about 4:00AM. I got to my secret viewing spot about 40 miles from NYC down on the beach. Much to my surprize there were at least 1500 other people there.. So, I popped the truck in 4x4, took it down to the fishing spot I go where it is less crowded, and gazed. In over an hour and a half I saw easily 300-400. Most of them were fairly dim, but there were a few real bright ones mixed in. it was just FUCKING COLD. It was cool though. ChileRelleno 0 #21 November 19, 2002 Mobile, AL USA Yes, I got up at 03:30am cst and went down to the bay so as to have a unobstructed view. I wish I'd been further away from the city lights but I still had a good show! I was averaging probably 15/20 per minute with alot of multiple sets, so cool to be front row for a interstellar light show. My wife thought I was crazy but then she already knows that. WFFC 1 #22 November 19, 2002 Got home around 1:30 in the morning and it was cloudy, with a sucker hole near the mountains, and light winds. Waited till 2:30 and the hole never moved so I went to bed...----- ~~~Michael
