Sonic 0 #1 November 14, 2002 WE've all seen the para-gear catalogue. You know those bits in the back whith just the outline of rigs and canopies? We're putting all of those together into a book and getting a load of fat crayons so we can colour em in on the way to alti. Keeps us entertained, and freaks out the tandems as well !! ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
FallRate 0 #2 November 14, 2002 Hmm, that's an original idea. Not a bad one either. FallRate
AggieDave 6 #3 November 14, 2002 I think I'll stick to farting. That freaks out the tandems too, ya know...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
mujie96 0 #4 November 14, 2002 You can also print out the jumpsut outlines from the order forms on most of the major manufacturer's websites. I colored myself a Bev. Jess Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....

gemini 0 #10 November 15, 2002 I know the Otter at Spaceland can pick up FM radio because I have listened to music on the way to Lexington in it. I think it might bother most pilots. Any comments DiverDriver? Blue skies, Jim
phatcat 0 #11 November 15, 2002 Kind of OT, but you reminded me of when I was learning to land in a 152, while my instructor was listening to the football game on the ADF.

Any comments DiverDriver? Not THE diverdriver, but A diverdriver... at the Cessna DZ I was working at I would always listen to the ADF (AM stations on the way to altitude), now I'm trying to figure out a way to get good music playing. -- Hook high, flare on time

Lizard 0 #14 November 15, 2002 love the coloring idea....but my home dz has a single Cessna, could get cramped. anyways the big question now is do you get the box of 96 crayons with the built in sharpener or just stick with the small 32 pack....I feel held back with a pack of
masher 1 #15 November 15, 2002 You have to go the whole 96..... Question: Where do you stash everything before you open the door?-- Arching is overrated - Marlies
Spy38W 0 #16 November 15, 2002 Quote You have to go the whole 96..... Question: Where do you stash everything before you open the door? Duh, there's a pocket in the back of the pilot's seat for that stuff... There might be a bunch of other books/papers/maintenance records/etc, but you can help by throwing that stuff out. Somebody just got lazy and left it there. -- Hook high, flare on time

Sonic 0 #18 November 15, 2002 you don't need more than 32 if there's only 4 of you in the plane. You can share ----------------------------------- It's like something out of that twilighty show about that zone
freeflir29 0 #19 November 15, 2002 That would be cool. Kinda like that scene out of Air America where they are flying in the Porter in bad weather. Mel Gibson is in the back coloring while Robert Downey JR flies the plane. Great scene.
SkyDolphin 0 #20 November 15, 2002 How about singing the "Elements" song. As in the Elements of the Periodic table. We have a few geeks, I mean guys, (One of those is my husband) who started that at our dz and it's actually kind of fun. Plus you can dazzle unsuspecting people with you knowledge of science. Oh There's antimony, arsenic, aluminum, selenium, And hydrogen and oxygen and nitrogen and rhenium And nickel, neodymium, neptunium, germanium, And iron, americium, ruthenium, uranium, ...
