freeflir29 0 #53 November 11, 2002 0:0:0 That kinda sucks......I was sick all week and the weekend. Finally starting to get over it. Spent most of the weekend in bed. I did finally finish some school work I have been on for a while. Of course....there's a pile more to do. Yeeehhaaa....can't wait to be done with this crap. cbain 0 #56 November 11, 2002 12:10:0 12 times I called the emergency maintenance line for my apartment since my a/c stopped working on Saturday and 12 times no one called back, equals one very hot and pissed off me! (My thermostat said it was over 90 in the apartment and I live in an old place so all the windows are painted shut!) 10 fun jumps Thur, Fri and Sat, none on Sunday due to the very high winds. No beer owed. Christina
happythoughts 0 #57 November 11, 2002 :5:0 Did 3 cool jumps on Saturday. Weather was perfect. 72 deg, light breeze, unlimitted visibility. Sunday did a sweeeet 8-way with Boxman. Launched the 8-way. Turned 12-points. Then the sunset big-way was a 2-point 31-way. Position flying with a good video debrief. Learning some more secret stuff.

AggieDave 6 #59 November 11, 2002 1(off DZ landing):8:1 Yup, landed waaay off the DZ last load yesterday, about a mile west of the DZ, actually. The winds had shifted and the spot was off anyways due to being happy with a hole in the clouds. Atleast I didn't spot the load. I did get 8 jumps this weekend (if you count the jumps I did during the week), nothing real eventful except I'm getting better at headdown and I did a sit jump with some friends that averaged 175mph (no I did not set the fall rate, but I was really happy with it). Bought beer for my first off DZ landing at Aggieland.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Snowbird 0 #60 November 11, 2002 4:3:2 4 couples that looked through our house this weedend. Surely one of them wants to buy it! Please! 3 wonderful jumps. The local dz is closed so I drove to Kamloops (beer #1 owed for first visit to another dropzone) The day was gorgeous! Did one solo, and two real two-way, non training coach jumps.(beer #2) Actually turned 5 points. Good excercise in proximity control. Also learned that it's one thing to have accurate landings at ones home dz. Quite another at a new place. Thank goodness for large landing areas. Now I feel like the season is over. I'm at a nice even 60 jumps, a nice even 23 minutes of freefall, and today I'm buying tickets to Arizona for the Invasion. I'm a happy camper. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein

suz 0 #62 November 11, 2002 0:20 jumps this week. Started getting really excited about going to the dz next weekend for my third ever jump (what a pro, I hear you all say!! ha ha ha...hmmm. Hurts to laugh alone) THEN! I found out my bastard boss wants me to work... 2 jumps i hope to get in before the new year. Going crazy... really need to rob a bank, kill boss, and buy a rig. Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after

skybytch 273 #64 November 11, 2002 2 items of furniture left in the kid's bedroom:0:0 No jumping for me this weekend. Saturday was weathered out, and Sunday was reserved for watching the kid move (most of) his stuff out. All that's left is a dresser and a desk... and a bunch of car parts... and a closet full of boxes... oh, and a horse... It's so.... quiet in my house now. skycat 0 #70 November 11, 2002 Quote So how was it flying that thing at that elevation out there? Not an issue, I was loading it the same without lead as I load my X-fire with lead. (1.3) Honestly I couldn't tell you if it is any different since I've never jumped it at sea level. I'm planning on making a few jumps on it at Eloy though.Fly it like you stole it! But I don't know everybody from SDTR, so maybe there was more. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
skycat 0 #73 November 11, 2002 Well lets see.... We have Bob (JumpTandem) hanging out the door. (pilot) You 3rd from the left, Me right infront of you, Dave (wingnut) 2 to the right of me in the back Bryan (BPS - he met us for dinner saturday night) was on the load and I think that is him 4th from the right in the back. I think that's it, cause Derek (hooknswoop) was in the office playing chess with Mason. Hope you are feeling better sweety, and that your tush recovers quickly. Fly it like you stole it!
