GiaKrembs 0 #26 November 11, 2002 People who know I skydive bring it up in conversation only when they hear about a fatality or accident - as if to scare me out of jumping. I am in outside sales, and I typically don't bring it up in conversation - my clients usually get the OMG she's crazy look on their faces. However my boss seems to think it's the best thing to talk about with my customers - I work in a male dominated environment, and he feels that the men will respect me more knowing that I can jump out of a plane~!? huh I guess I usually try not to bring it up, but if it does come up in conversation I try not to force it on anyone, keep it positive, and answer any questions they may have. Raddest ho this side of Jersey #1 - rest in peace brother Beth lost her cherry and I missed it .... you want access to it, but you don't want to break it. "fencing eh? i did that in college for an athletic scholarship. get ready to be bruised" Stacy, I don't think they mean "split-rail" fencing. This is diffferent. The guys say you're quite a wrassler. One guy says you pinned him 3 out of 4 times and he gave in. If you're docking after me, you may have the element of surprise since I will have to wait so long. The only fencing I have ever done is barbed-wire. True fact. More than a little. If it snaps during the stretching, it is an exciting moment.
christoofar 0 #31 November 11, 2002 I could take up bicycling, but considering that I almost killed myself on a bicycle at Rantoul this year I think I'll pass and just stick to skydiving. Don't you know the common bicycle and Golf cart becomes an instrument of death during the convention? You know, since there was SO much asphalt there at the convention... I was thinking of going to Wally World (Wal-Mart) over by the AFB next year and getting some inline skates and "paraskate..." land on the asphalt or on the concrete parking lot behind the dropzone... of course wearing RW suit, knee brace and fullface, etc etc.... Wonder if I'll get booted from the convention for exiting out of the skyvan in rollerskates? ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Fo shizzle. I know one landed in the grass next to the strip and he was ok. Watch for low spots.
novacaine 0 #37 November 12, 2002 Thsnk you all for helping me out. Your all right! I took up skydiving as a way to free myself, and yet I'm afraid to express my feelings about this great sport that I love to others. Wow am I a looser!!!
christoofar 0 #38 November 12, 2002 Hmmmm... I think if I'm gonna pull off a "paraskate" I'm gonna need to keep my forward speed REALLY slow.... a 30mph landing would NOT be good on skates and concrete! I wonder if paraskate would be easier on hard ground? ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Fo shizzle.
