Yeah, and the people are mostly from outside the US, whereas the moderators are from there! And actually the amount of posts shown on one page can be changed, I just only got on the second page... jraf 0 #135 October 21, 2002 Mark's Hamburger version sounds not bad but: Take one very lean steak. Mince it. Soak it with Jack Daniels Burbon. Crush ice. mix with your burger, add basil. Freeze the burger overnight. Get real Kaiser bun, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and swiss chese. Preheat grill for about an hour. Use Oak wook if available. Put burger on grill. Sprinke liberally with Jack Daniels. Grill the bun a bit. As a side purchase a nice potatoe. cut it to make french fries. Deep fry and soak the grease off. Enjoy!!!jraf Me Jungleman! meatmissile 0 #138 October 21, 2002 Quote I would find it quite refreshing. All our western friends can talk about is is boobies (understandable) and American beer (unforgivable) ROTFLMAO Scratch, you should be sitting on some remote mountaintop, dispensing wisdom to those who made the pilgrimmage. The best beer I had in the 'States could be described as "thin, but drinkable" And I had to use three of their bags to produce a decent cup of coffee. jraf 0 #139 October 21, 2002 Meatmissle you poor tourist, you got caught in the Budweiser trap. You DON'T drink that shit. It's for hicks. I have posted this statement before, but will again: The US is the land of the worst, but also the BEST beers in the world. It would take pages to describe all the microbrews we have. Come over and I will show you beer. You will never want to leave!jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275
flypunk 0 #140 October 21, 2002 As a fellow non-amercian I will have to say that the statement is accurate bud's and all those non bodiesd light feeling non filling beers are not meant to be consumed. Shiner bock I'll go for so texas gets credited for that one, then you can chase it down with a guiness and enjoy! ...
meatmissile 0 #141 October 21, 2002 Quote Meatmissle you poor tourist, you got caught in the Budweiser trap. Not completely accurate, my dear fellow. Budweiser we have here, although I, like you, tend to avoid it. The microbrewery stuff is OK, I tried about fifteen odd different types. The American beer are just generally a bit light for my taste. Try an Urbock or Tafel, brewed in Swakopmund, Namibia, and then we'll talk again! Ferdi NA #
jraf 0 #142 October 21, 2002 You have obviously been led to the "lighter" breweries catering to the BMW/Accura driving crowd. Try Thumper Ale, Shipyard ale, Allegheny Brewery Maibock, Pete's Wicked Ale....etc. etc. etc. You want really nasty - Celebrator Doppelbock. Drink two pints and it is over. Brewed in the heart of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Seek and thou shall find! jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275
