nacmacfeegle 0 #1352 October 30, 2002 ""nice coffee" and other stuff ..." Sometimes I haven't got a clue what you southerners are on about. For much of last year I was based in Germany, but flew in and out through Schiphol every fortnight, occasionally I would miss the train to Germany, and spend longer than planned in Amsterdam...Also where we were working was about 6 k from the Dutch border....A night out in Holland was a very popular distraction for the crew of folk I was working with... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. blewaway5 0 #1356 October 30, 2002 Hey all, good morning to you! At least the sun's starting to think about showing up soon. Well it should be. I can't sleep and the weather sucks. I'm in Kansas City Missouri, right smack in the middle of the US, and we've set a new record for the weather here. Check this out--for as long as weather has been being recorded here there has never been this many chilly rainy days with no hint of the sun in a row in the month of October. We're going on 10 or 11 now. Sucks a lot Truman Sparks for President

The weather here absolutely sucks this time of the year. I don't think we've had that many days in a row... But we have a bonus! It's also getting really dark! In a month there will be only a couple of hours daylight/day. At least we wont see the crappy weather.

nacmacfeegle 0 #1363 October 30, 2002 Right Erno, the new Equator has been evaluated and is currently undergoing engineering approval for a feasibility study..... Most of Europe will be equatorial, with the equator roughly following the line of the red sea/suez canal, the south africans and the Aussies will find themsleves living in the tropics, unfortunately California will become cold, but they are asleep right now and won't notice till too late. The new north pole will be somewhere between the Marianas trench and Hawaii in the pacific. Sorry Hawaii, but you've had it good for too long. I imagine a new land of ice and fire here.... The new new south pole will be somewhere around Tristan Dan Cunha in the Atlantic. No loss there then. The new international time meridian will go through Finland, and we will set our clocks to Hämeenlinna mean time. Whilst conducting the required modifications to the Earth's tilt, we are also proposing a new metric week, which will provide 5 day weekends. All in favour say Yahoo.... Now then where did I put my 'bloody big lever'.... -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. Sorry all you Elsinore/Perris people, you can't win all the time. >The new north pole will be somewhere between the Marianas trench >and Hawaii in the pacific. Sorry Hawaii, but you've had it good for too >long. I imagine a new land of ice and fire here.... Oh, that's good, maybe the Icelanders will feel at home there then. >we are also proposing a new metric week, which will provide 5 day weekends. >All in favour say Yahoo.... yahoo! Boy, are the Americans going to complain! I was thinking I'd outlaw all non-metric units of measurements while I'm at it... And Swatch already has introduced the Swatch Beat time or what do you call it. I guess that could be used. >Now then where did I put my 'bloody big lever'.... Ask Archimedes, I think I saw him walking off with it a couple of days back. He was muttering something about "showing to them all" or something like that... (edit to add) And Nacmac? You just earned yourself a post as the Imperial High Engineer.

The coffee flavor of the day is again hazelnut, but with the added influence of french vanilla. Yum.... There's more so help yourself. So what are we all discussing today? Life? Liberty? nacmacfeegle 0 #1374 October 30, 2002 Morning Lisa, we are going to tilt the Earth so that we can get better weather. Unfortunately this probably means that a lot of the southern states of the US will be flooded as the sea sloshes around a bit. Sorry, but its all for the common good. -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
