AggieDave 6 #3 November 3, 2002 3 (weeks of shit weather):6:1 Only 3 jumps this weekend, although I got 1 on Tuesday and 2 on Wednesday, so 6 for the week, so that's not bad. I would have had atleast 5 more jumps this weekend if it wasn't for this shitty weather that Texas (and a good majority of the US, from what I understand) has been enduring. Since my income comes from packing parachutes and no one needs packjobs when they're not jumping, I'm sucking it up here... Oh, I was called beer on for my first weekend/usage of my shiney new D license...fun times.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." PhreeZone 20 #4 November 3, 2002 1 more reserve repacked:3:1 Group sitfly that I belly docked on a sit flier (arched like a mofo), screwed around with a tandem as second video, did a solo this morning in the nice crisp 42 degree temp from the 206. Never jumped our 206, have jumped a cargo one, but not a side door before so I owe beer...Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
billo 0 #5 November 3, 2002 0:0:0 *yawn* just a lazy cloudy weekend here! Got 3rd place in a poker tourney friday night, and saw one of my fav bands "legendary pink dots" last night. No complaints! Now i just gotta get off my lazy butt and get my main & reserve packed before my SL-I course next weekend!b "You see how I deflected that beanbag with my chest? That's natural instinct. PLFXpert 0 #8 November 3, 2002 I don't know which # goes where so I'll just elaborate: 0 firsts 3 jumps (all a poor college student can afford a week) I had a blast though! Being a 120-pound freeflyer, I've had to seriously increase my fall rate to meet that of all the other freeflyers. I had gotten in SUCH a bad habit of it, that I could sit while a 185-pound guy flew in a slower headdown next to me. Ha ha ha! So I had fun this weekend siting in a million different positions, all felt comfortable and just feeling myself increase in speed and then decrease. If you haven't tried it...YOU SHOULD! It is the coolest feeling falling fast and actually feeling yourself slow down and then speed up again. Ha ha ha.

mouth 0 #13 November 3, 2002 0:6:0 6 jumps. One really cool one cause we jumped with Rook Nelson on a killer tracking dive out of the CASA for two friends 500th jump. The rest were just mostly zoo jumps as Roger Ponce was doing the only RW organizing. The last jump was from 7000 due to nasty weather.....go figure. I did get to meet SkymonkeyONE, Nathan, and Ramon. (Hi guys...missed ya Sat night...lots of alcohol consumed...nuff said) I got to watch Chuck swoop into a pond.....WAHOO. Not me but more power to you guys. All in all a good weekend. . -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.

Scoby 0 #16 November 4, 2002 2:2:0 We went to our home dropzone, despite the cheesy rental gear. They had a new packer, though, and the PD190 opened like buttah. It's literally the only canopy I like there, because it doesn't get too many jumps and still has lots of flare. No firsts, but Andy and I finally did a pretty decent 2-way, after a couple of crappy dives in a row. I saw someone else cutaway, which was interesting. His main was clearly not square, perhaps a lineover. It was such a relief to watch his reserve open. Otherwise, a pretty uneventful weekend.
Jimbo 0 #17 November 4, 2002 :4:0 I don't know what the official temperature was, but it was DAMN COLD here in NJ. The jumping season is winding down and I don't think I'll be spending nearly as much time at the DZ until things warm up. Went to a sweet halloween party on Saturday, had a pretty good time there. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed.
