Luna 0 #1 November 3, 2002 In 2 weeks I'm going to visit NYC for the first time (my 30th birthday present). Any advice on what I should do? I've got 2 nights and 3 days, and my evenings are already filled with 2 broadway shows and dinners. Other ideas on things I shouldn't miss would be greatly appreciated. And is there anyone who knows if the ice skating rink in Rockafeller Center will be open by then? Would love to do that if it is. Thanks! I'm walking a marathon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Click Here for more information!
AggieDave 6 #2 November 4, 2002 Hit the big'n's, they're fun. Empire State, Ground Zero, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (very good place to visit, sobering as it may be). Of course, hit up Times Square, try to get Letterman tickets, that'd be cool too.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." I really wanted to do this, but from what I've been able to determine, it is still closed since 9/11. Thanks for the great ideas everyone! I know I'm going to need a vacation from my vacation, seeing as it's so short and there is so much to see in that time, but I'm determined to get as much in as I possibly can! I had a few ideas, but you guys have given me some I had not thought of, which is what I was hoping for. Thanks again! I'm walking a marathon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We are staying at a hotel on West 44th Street. Not too far from the theater district as I understand. We'll be flying into LaGuardia. Take in a Brunch at the PLAZA right next o Central Park and an Eye shot from FAO Schwartz(I loved that store!) Do be aware that you are in NYC when night falls. My mom's house was 5 E.75th St.(It's now 4 businesses, one of them is for housing Ford & Elite Models when in townHave fun.
