Scoby 0 #51 October 26, 2002 Me First is a cover band. They are a punk rock all star cover band. It's Dave and Joey from Lagwagon, Spike from Swingin' Utters, Jake from No Use For A Name, and Fat Mike from NOFX. They did a 70s album (Are A Ball), then a show tunes album (Are A Drag), and most recently, a 60s album (Blow In The Wind). Also, they have numerous other tracks floating around, like their cover of Country Roads (perhaps the most brilliant punk rock cover ever recorded). There are other punk bands that do covers. There are even other albums of punk rock covers (Before You Were Punk is worth checking out). But Me First and the Gimme Gimmes is the greatest. Everyone who hears them loves them. Kris 0 #53 October 27, 2002 I'm sick with a really bad sinus / flu / naseaus thing going on right now so I'm chilling with some Morrissey. If you're going to be in a crappy mood, go big. It's either that or Ebola, but I haven't started hemorraghing from my eyes & ears quite yet. Kris 'So cold. quatorze 1 #56 October 27, 2002 feeling flu like symptoms from a flu shot are absolutely OK. The flu shot is actually a weakend strain of the flu that allows your body's infection fighting T-cells to respond, kill and develope memory cells that will prevent infection. You want to feel really bad, get vaccinated for Hepatitis B, when I was a firefighter, they required that all of us first responders be vaccinated, it is a series of 3 shots, and the 2nd shot I thought was going to fucking kill me I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
Kris 0 #57 October 27, 2002 Quote I *heart* the Moz. What album? I'm playing a mix of the following albums: Bona Drag Vauxhall & I My Early Burglary Years and I threw in some Smiths "Meat is Murder" for a really nice dose of self-loathing. Quote I got a flu shot yesterday! At least, they told me it was a flu shot. I vaguely suspect it was POISON though. Hmm, you didn't see Seth around the syringes, did you? I've got my shot scheduled for next week. I doubt it's the flu I have, probably just a really bad cold / chills / sinus / evil stomach thing.
