Ray Cottingham needs well wishers

I just got word that Ray Cottingham (one the the best photographers) in my opinion, is in the hospital for Coronary Bypass surgery tomorrow.
He is at Universal Medical Center
1800 W. Charleston Blvd.
Las Vegas, Nv. 89102
Send him a card or something. He is well loved here in Calif. as well as elsewhere and has been around since the beginning of time
This was quite a surprise for him and would appreciate some good vibes his way.

Wow this comes as a surprise. Ray was doing video for us less than two weeks ago when he had that surprise reserve ride as he exited the Casa. Hope all goes well and best wishes on a speedy recovery!

There is absolutely nobody that will ever be able to swoop his slot -- certainly not me.

Every camera flyer owes a huge debt for the amount of time and experience Ray has passed along to others.

Ray may not get the flashy gigs and he may not be able to bust a move like some, but to me he will always be the grand old man of camera flying.

I hope he makes a full recovery soon. I jumped with him a couple times, thirty years ago. He was one of the most respected skydivers around (even way back then). Steve1

I didn't know who Ray Cottingham was, did some searching and came across the following most excellent article by Tom Sanders. He mentions Ray's work in the 70's.

Hope the dude's surgery went well and he gets back on his feet soon.
