scottbre 0 #26 October 14, 2002 Frederic Lord Leighton, John William Waterhouse, and Alphonse Mucha are just a few of my favorite painters. "Artists" is way to broad of a category, so I will just stear clear of that one. "Your mother's full of stupidjuice!" My Art Project

BikerBabe 0 #30 October 14, 2002 Van Gogh is my fave, but my most amazing art experience was seeing Picasso's "Guernica" in Madrid when I was there. It's absolutely breathtaking, and pictures of it can never do it justice. It literally brought me to tears. If you're ever in Madrid, go see this work! I hesitate to call it a painting, because it's really, a wall-sized mural...It's in the Reina Sophia museum there.Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! sangiro 25 #33 October 25, 2002 Since we all like to kiss, I'm surprised no one has mentioned Gustav Klimt. (More: 1 2) I like the Impressionists but there's something to be said for Klimt's Art Nouveau paintings of women. There most certainly is! Zennie 0 #44 October 25, 2002 MC Escher is probably the one that stands out most in my mind. I'm also a big Ansel Adams fan, even though he's not a "painter" per se, his photography is absolutely breathtaking. Plus I'm a big fan of black & white. I really like Markus Pierson's sculpture and painting. The coyotes are both whimsical and thought-provoking.
