freeflir29 0 #1 October 24, 2002 99% sure I won't be in Eloy for New Years. Looks like my son will be visiting for Christmas. I love you guys and I love Skydiving...but he's slightly more important.

freeflir29 0 #4 October 24, 2002 Quote i take it that was a bit of a surprise? Not really a suprise....I have just learned not to count on anything until it happens. I'm sure enough now that I will go ahead and buy a ticket for him. Of course, dealing with the nut case, I'll still be thinking how I can use that ticket to get to Eloy if he doesn't show up on Dec 23rd.

skybytch 273 #12 October 24, 2002 That's excellent news for you! You'll have a great time with your boy. Do you get him for the whole week? We'll miss ya! But you're right... time with him is way more important than time with us.
AggieDave 6 #13 October 24, 2002 Sucks you can't make it dude, but I understand. Why don't you bring him with you, jump for a couple days then take a rental car and drive to all the different cool things in that area, like Mesa Grande, the Grand Canyon, Vegas (I'm sure he'd like that ), etc. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." freeflir29 0 #14 October 24, 2002 Quote Do you get him for the whole week? Should be Dec 21st-Jan 4th. I know I hate coming home from a trip and having to work the next day so I'll give him a day to settle back in. Quote Why don't you bring him with you, jump for a couple days then take a rental car and drive to all the different cool things in that area, like Mesa Grande, the Grand Canyon, Vegas (I'm sure he'd like that ), etc. Do great minds (and skydivers) think alike or what? That was my very first thought.....then I remembered the rest of my family that hasn't seen him since summer 2001. He needs to see them too.

Show the boobies...show the boobies And millions of sheep now feel neglected........ Tough about Eloy, but very cool about your son ! Is he old enough to know the distinction between the "cool" bellyflyers vs the "evil" freefreaks, or are you saving that nasty surprise in hopes of scarring him emotionally in his teenage years ? Conversation in High School Anger Management Counseling session (year 2014) : Counselor:"Tell me your name, and the source of your anger." Tim: "My name is Timmy, and my parents are alcoholics." Jane: "My name is Jane, and my parents physically abuse me." Clay Jr.: "My name is Clay, and my dad is a freeflyer." Don IHJ#
freeflir29 0 #17 October 24, 2002 Quote Is he old enough to know the distinction between the "cool" bellyflyers vs the "evil" freefreaks, He's 7 now so he's getting old enough to know the difference. Last summer was his first exposure to skydiving and he thought it was pretty darn cool. Maybe not quite as cool as chasing grasshoppers or fishing but pretty cool none the less....
