CanuckInUSA 0 #52 October 21, 2002 0:6:0 ... 1 Still batting zero for the weekend concerning that all important topic. Six jumps (four feet first, two head downs) all with varying degrees of success, but mostly failures. No beers needed to be purchased. But I got one of my whuffo friends up on a tandem for her birthday today. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Casch 0 #54 October 21, 2002 I showed up at the DZ Saturday morning and the weather sucked. Cloud base at about 1500 max, sat around all day, learned to ride a unicycle (took FOREVER!) and studied for my A License written exam. The weather didn't clear up at all. I bought an altimeter and USPA membership and crashed on a couch. Sunday morning the weather was even worse so I played a little Xbox and played with the unicycle until the seat fastening thingy broke. Around 4ish I actually got to jump. It was from 4.5K but that was enough for me! I got two jumps in and passed my written A license test and I just got home a few hours ago.

freeflir29 0 #56 October 21, 2002 0:5:0 Nothing too exciting. Just chased some people around the sky. I did rip one VERY nice swoop. The wind almost completely died down when I came in. Lined up perfectly on the target/inflatable punching bag. Just put both feet straight out in front of me and knocked the Sh%t out of it. It was even on outside video. happythoughts 0 #57 October 21, 2002 :2:0 Congratulations, JRAF. Wooohoo! You are on the road to financial irresponsibility and happiness. Got to touch Stacy this weekend, my life is complete. The base funnelled, but I got a better swoop.

wildblue 7 #60 October 21, 2002 $650 (spent in car repairs) : 2 : 0 Blown head gaskets are expensive, let me tell you. Is ok though, at least I got my car back in time for a short weekend trip. Not a lot of jumping, but still a really good weekend.it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
Deuce 1 #61 October 21, 2002 Did a couple of good RW jumps, video'd a tandem, video'd Cornholio on a coach jump. I want to see him turn points with AggieDave, I'm thinking I could do it head-down.A new guy, Linc, posted in Safety and Training that he enjoyed his tandem this past Wednesday and I posted that I'd shoot his Level 1 for a jump ticket if he came out. Well he did! I got to video my first AFF level 1 and he did a great job. Even stood up his first landing. I had to laugh, cause when it was over he said he noticed me in front of him during the skydive with a big grin and he had to struggle to keep from geeking. I'll hopefully get him squared away on that. It's ALL about geeking
freeflir29 0 #62 October 21, 2002 Almost forgot!!! We were riding to altitude and couldn't decide what we were going to do. I was thinking of a 3 way Free fly with a friend and one of the AFF JM's. Then we got a much better idea. There was a two way belly fly going out first. Well...they thought it was a 2 way. Heheheheheehee...it turned into a 5 way when we piled out after them. It was Daves 100th jump so we thought we would make it "Special" Turned it into a funneled exit and then a "Hybrid" of sorts. Funny stuff!!!!
AggieDave 6 #63 October 21, 2002 5 (kick ass scream'n trumpet solos at my gig):8:1 Yup, my gig kicked some serious ass, everything was on during that gig, definately on! Did 8 hop-n-pops this weekend (cloud cover killed anything else), went back to my original DZ (Eagle Flight) and scored some very nice mini-swoops (well, one was nearly 150ft). God that's fun. The case of beer was thrown in for good measure since I haven't bought one in a while. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." weegegirl 2 #64 October 21, 2002 one BASE jump at Bridge Day ...oh, and no time for sex - shared a hotel room with way too many people. Slept on the floor between the tv and the bed. ....lots and lots and lots of beer.
GrumpySmurf 0 #65 October 21, 2002 :4:0 - so the relationship with the S/O started going south quick after she brought up the dirty 'M' word - one of my friends g/f thought she would play matchmaker with a co-worker of hers that waitresses at a Japanese Hibachi (sp?) house. So I get a call out of the blue Friday from the girl - 'Let's go out' (never met nor seen the girl before in my life) - I'm thinking, "Blind Date from Hell" but figure what's wrong with making new friends, since that's all I intended. Pick her up in Porsche, and my first thought was (to steal the line), "Damn, hottie got a body, and I wanna get naughty!". So the night went well, nothing remarkable - I get a call last night for a second 'meeting' - only this time she says she wants to take me to 'Fetish Night' at a local club and proceeded to describe what she bought to wear - my jaw was on the floor, that mental image alone was enough to make up for the otherwise '0' in the first column - thus the . And I'm moving away in a week and a half - go figure. 4 Jumps - one of the folk at ActiveWear noted my bitching about the price of Neuman's gloves and recommended the Reebok Wide Receiver Gloves instead, which were half the price - if you can find them - they are GREAT for cold weather. lummy 4 #66 October 21, 2002 20:2:0 20 minutes late picking up my world record holding friend from the airport. I have a really good excuse tho, it was a fuel load :). Didn't even have time to take off the jumpsuit, and just threw the rig in the back seat. 2 Solo jumps, it was a really slow day at Byron, so I practiced my stands and was just too danged happy to be back in the airI promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I can't wait to see what this team can do! 1 case of beer because we did our first 4-way training exit out of a tailgate...and it worked great!Never meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup! CanuckInUSA 0 #70 October 21, 2002 Andi Sound like fun at Eloy. I'm sort of jealous that you're closer to Eloy than I am, but then I'm not jealous about some other stuff. But I did enjoy meeting you and your fellow NM skydivers two weekends ago. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

Also the number of times he tried to send me flailing through the sky. 3 jumps away from my B license.6 jumps. 1 case of beer for my 1st 4 way with clothes on and not in a sleazy motel room or a frat party.
