How was the weekend?

Recommended Posts

I went looking for a new house, wandered around some hills, and took the wee man to visit his grandparents. The closest I got to skydiving was watching videos..:(:(

I gave it horns this weekend! As a result, I could do with another 3 days sleep.
Friday night partied till dawn with whuffo friends, then to someone's house for coffee and to talk shit, then brunch, then I couldn't remember where my car was, eventually found it, then my cell was in someone else's car:S. By the time I found all my belongings it was 3 in the afternoon. A quick catnap, then I had to make salads. Went up to our club for wild pig on the spit. No skydiving, but lots of drinking, eating and being merry. Watched our team's vid from Nationals - cool!
A few hours sleep on sat night then we descended en masse on this tiny coffee shop - 16 hungry skydivers demanding coffee and breakfast - that poor waitress!
Got home at lunchtime yesterday, had a hot bath and went straight to bed - only got up when the pizza delivery guy arrived at my gateB|

I am impressed!!

Spent most of Saturday editing tandem videos.....the expressions alone are worth it!!:)
Saturday night was dinner with them whuffo people, funky little Jamaican style bar.....too much fermented beverage consumed, they were shocked that I paid my respects to the beer before I consumed it!!

I am ready to meet my Maker. Whether my Maker is prepared for the great ordeal of meeting me is another matter

Cleaned bathroom, vacuumed lots of cat hair from bedroom floor. In the afternoon, a 256MB SDRAM showed up in the mail (I had been waiting since a new motherboard arrived). Slapped the machine together, and wasted a lot of time playing a Half-Life mod called "USS Darkstar". Burned some CD-Rs, drank some excellent brew (Deschutes Brewing of Oregon makes a fine Stout called Obsidian).

Did you guys do something skydiving related?

Three jumps and one hell of a party Saturday. Recovery all day Sunday.

If only I didn't have to go to work today. Breathing oxygen played hell with my upper respiratory system - I've got one hell of a cold!

I learned to count change!

Go ahead, tell me how much you need, like for a toll or something - and I will tell you what coins I could hand you, that would add up to that amount.

:D

Actually, it was a very educational weekend! I learned about coal mining, the space station, couting change, greek culture, and what a 'half-pounder' is.

Saturday weather was a wash, so I went to a bar with old friends on saturday night and was dancing quite a bit. That was a lot of fun. Then I jumped all day sunday.:)

This weekend rocked. Not so many skydives, but several milestones for locals:
New GK, Scott Janise, made his 1000th jump and was sumarilly pied, then bodyslammed by a chick.
DZ packaho, Bobby Pritchard, made his 500th. It was a very nice 2-point 17-way with video.
The band Bad Monkey played in the bar on Saturday night; they rocked as usual.
Nig-noggery was in FULL effect all weekend.
I picked up my retirement orders today! Fuckin-A RIGHT!

The weather? Well this is Florida - need I describe any more. 14 jumps. Loads of fun. 3 ways, 4 ways one 8 way. Massive party on Saturday - no problem though, Sunday was a jumping day. Friday night OD'ied on Sushi - Ichiban Sushi in Tampa. Loads of sake with it. Delightful.

This weekend was tight! 2 Bird-Man jumps, 3 Tandem Videos, one request from customer's mother for me to dance for a Bachelorette party, one 4-way video, 1 AFF Level 5 where I got to see my student go into a gnarly side spin, 1 sunset 4 pt 16-way, one 2pt 14-way, one 4 pt 16-way, one 2pt 18-way. All jumps out of a CASA. Too bad the fuel pump at the airport broke down at 4pm yesterday cuz I wanted to get a couple more bird-man jumps in.:(
Oh well, can't complain...perfect weather here in FL this weekend...can't wait 'til Eloy in December!!
...still haven't decided about the Bachelorette party, though B|

This weekend was grrrrreaaaat!;) I drove a little over 2 hours to get to Skydive America. Man, I LOVE that place! The people, the plane, the view, its ALL good! I Got 3 coached sit jumps. (I got a killer backslide:S)
And I finally got to meet Scotty & Tami Carbone. Holy crap, they are a hoot!;)
Thanks to the two of them I got to get into a couple big ways. The most successful was a 4 point 14 way. Thanks so much, I just love you guys!;)

Dude, that's cool. I accidently hit 224mph on a solo HD FF dive a couple weeks ago in my big baggy FF suit. I want to go out in jeans and a t-shirt and really try to hit some speed to see what I can do.:P
