Well in freeflying yes, but under my lip... no thanks! and Paul: Kick the habit before your teeth turn yellow and your gums recede causing your (now yellow) teeth to fall out. Yuck. Scratch 0 #28 October 22, 2002 Speaking of smoking and weird tobacco products. What about Beedies? Tobacco wrapped in a dried banana leaf (I think) it smells like some kind of strange dope.
nacmacfeegle 0 #29 October 22, 2002 A freind of mine brought some of those back from Turkey, strange looking things, held together with a wee bit of thread, and utterly unsmokeable..And yes they may smell like strange dope, but they don't have any effect at all.Ahem, not that I would know anything about that sort of thing -------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. I had a stint with them in 10th or 11th grade, now the smell makes me want to puke! <* Spread the Love! *>

Hahhahahhaa / Hähhähhäähäähää The latter is a more evil sounding laughter. eng. Booohooo (?) / fin. Byääähhhh Man, this post looks so stupid I'm having second thoughts about posting it... cop 0 #41 October 22, 2002 Way to go! Soon we can collect Finnish-English dictionary, huraa! Next we can try Savo-English dictionary, can we? "You can call me Mike"

teemu 0 #43 October 22, 2002 Cop, I bet, they don't even know what the hell Savo is. But anyway, keep going and amuse us. I wanna also know how you translate your Savo-language in English? For example, what is "huorukka" in English? Another Finn again!
cop 0 #44 October 22, 2002 No, no, no, Teemu. I see you don't understand anything about Savo-language. It is not "huorukka", it's "huarukka". And I think translation don't need to be dialectal word. "Huarukka" in english means "fork" and "genital area". Are you happy with that? Huraa, Finnish landing troops are on their way! luis 0 #45 October 22, 2002 Quote Related to this: Damn, the number of Finns posting here just exploded. And there are a lot of Finns who have registered during the last week but haven't posted yet. Actually you don't have to be Finn to understand some Finnish (though it helps ) - sometimes it's enough to live somewhere close, work for a Finnish company and make that company pay for your Finnish lessons . OK, it didn't work too well - my vocabulary is still limited to all sorts of 'perkele', 'paska', 'vittu' etc... Obviously one jump at Malmi DZ this summer was not enough

skybytch 273 #48 October 22, 2002 Do I smoke? Dunno, never checked. Actually, yes I do, dammit. It was cool with the crowd I wanted to hang with as a teenager; I was one of the unlucky ones who got seriously hooked. I'll kick this disgusting habit soon though. If Jess can do it, then I know I can too!

Muenkel 0 #50 October 22, 2002 Hey Erno, You asked about Nicorette in an earlier post. This was a very successful method for my Mom. She smoked heavily from age 16 to 62. She is now 5 years smoke free. I never thought I would see the day. Nicotene is not the substance in a cigarette that is necessarily dangerous. It is the tar and shit that is so unhealthy. Nicotene just makes it addictive. Hence, the success with Nicorette. It doesn't contain all the carcinogens. _________________________________________ Chris
