Skitzo 0 #2 October 17, 2002 It would be a crime to stay away from at an otter at your home DZ. Bring out the credit cards. - "How do you keep your feet on the ground when you know you were born to fly?"

Kris 0 #10 October 18, 2002 When FrankenOtter was assembled from various donor aircraft, EVERY single piece not needed for skydiving, airworthyness, safety, or structual integrity was ripped out and thrown away to bring the weight down. What you had left was FrankenOtter. Several paint schemes, very powerful engines, and one airframe that had been made really light. She's fast, she was beautiful (I can't believe they painted her, and she's damn comfy. quatorze 1 #12 October 18, 2002 Quote nice! you gotta love when a bigger faster plane gets into town I tell you another one that is just bad ass is the King Air out of Titusville Florida, N321DZ, first load of the day in August, full of fuel, full of skydivers... 14K in 6.5 minutes.... HOLY SHIT that thing was fast. Wheels to Wheels in 11 minutes... WTF I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle

It was almost too fast hahah! It may have been the K Air from Titusville, they travel around a lot, from what I have heard they have a great DZ but don't do that much business. Believe me when I tell you, we had just a couple of fun jumpers out the first weekend that "the Rocket Ship" flew, but after we spread the word on how the ride up consited of Take off, left turn, down wind, left turn, JUMP RUN!!! WTF I just took my seat belt off, and then cut the airspeed back to 80/85 knotts. You tell the rest of the jumpers who missed the first weekend and they will definately be there the next. jraf 0 #15 October 18, 2002 I know I am spoiled coming from an Otter DZ. I mean climb rate is a nice thing. I quite often ride shotgun and see the climb rate - never been lower than 1,200 feet per minute. Nice. Then again the Otter (and I love them planes) does not have the back ramp like a CASA that Blue Sky Adventures had on Harvest Moon. I see wally is taking good care of you guys jraf Me Jungleman! Rachill 0 #16 October 18, 2002 That's a cool pic of the Frankenotter! I have only seen it since it has been painted. I jumped out of it when I was in Canada a few months ago, that plane is FAST!!!!!! Very nice ride to altitude! BooYa#1 GR#50 You might be a skydiver if...
