flyhi 24 #5 October 17, 2002 Three tandems seems kind of excessive to me, but what do I know. Good luck and have fun.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.

skymama 37 #8 October 17, 2002 I did the 3 tandems with IAF thing. The first one, I was just a regular whuffo planning on doing one tandem and that was it. The second one, a family member went to the dz to do a tandem, and I liked the first one so much, I did another one. But, I still didn't think I would ever be a skydiver. It was after that one that my friend told me those 2 tandems would count for IAF and if I did another I could start my progression. On the last tandem my JM actually started teaching me things on the ride instead of me just being a passenger. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
Lolie 0 #9 October 17, 2002 I did three tandems too. It was supposed to be a one time thing, and like skymama I just sat back and enjoyed the ride (i.e. I didn't have to do any PHTs, or even wear an altimeter.). Once I got down, I knew that I wanted to keep doing it, so I did the next two ASAP, and learned things on both of them. I was really happy with the way I went about it. -Miranda you shall above all things be glad and young / For if you're young, whatever life you wear it will become you;and if you are glad / whatever's living will yourself become.
