jtval 0 #5 October 16, 2002 my home stereo has handled them before but it doesnt work now. so I am confused! you know the music that you love to drive to on a nice sunny day? that for me is joe satriani "flying in a blue dream" if i could find a copy I would just REBUY it for the 7th time but It a hard album to find so I wanted to burn a copy, but these cd's arent working. celeste 0 #6 October 16, 2002 Just curious, are you burning from one CD directly to another (2 drives) or are you copying the CD into your computer (like into a wav) first? Also you mentioned you switched Blank CD's, I think its possible, if you've had the Burner for a while, its not fully compatible with the blank type you are now buying do you know off-hand the type of CD you used before, and the type you are using now? I use Nero almost every day at work without a hitch. except the boss catching me recording a few times... CC ...first post, do I have to buy a case of beer for someone?? AggieDave 6 #7 October 16, 2002 Go to the Cd-burner manufacture's website. See if there is a firmware upgrade or new drivers. Sometimes this helps you keep up with CD technology.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
bodypilot90 0 #8 October 16, 2002 sounds like the cd hasn't been "finished". Does the cd play ok on your computer?

moodyskydiver 0 #10 October 16, 2002 I've heard of/seen some type of program/option for CD burning that will allow you to burn a CD, but it will only operate from your computer. I guess this is to help copywrite stuff. You might check that out. But then again, I'm very stupid about computers and could be wrong. "...just an earthbound misfit, I." beau31duke 0 #11 October 16, 2002 My friend has an Alpine in his car that won't play most burnt cd's but there is one kind that it will play. I'm not sure what brand they are but both the top and the bottom of the cd looks the same, no lables on it either side. He's tried every brand and this is the only one that works. What kind of stero system is in your car? Beau
nacmacfeegle 0 #12 October 16, 2002 "as far as I know all of the setting and preferences are set to audio cd (.WAV) I still can not get the damn thing to play" Ah, don't audio CDs for use in your car, home stereo etc need to be in CDA format???? Check your output settings and any help associated with the application. I know not all CD players see RW cds, and some can play MP3, wav etc, but I always burn mine to CDA.....-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. nacmacfeegle 0 #14 October 16, 2002 "I am burning from my hard rive to my cd(i thought wav files were what the home/car stereo use) the cd works on my computer" Your computer can see and decode all sorts of sound files, wav, mp3, raw etc....as long as the correct codecs (compressor/decompressors) are installed. Its not the same case with 'regular' cd players which are set up mostly to read CDA files. Is there an option to "burn cd as audio(cda)" or something similar? This important if you want to stop making coasters... Galen 0 #15 October 16, 2002 I usually burn using Nero. It works fine until I bought some Maxell CDs. For some reason they didn't play well in my car. Played fined in a stereo or on a computer but not the car. And it was just the Maxell's. Musicmatch question: I've started using Msuic Match to convert record wav's onto my computer as MP3's. It worked for a while and now it will only work analog. Big problem is, it creates the MP3 file. The file has volume but no sound. Tech support had me do all this stuff but it didn't work. Ever have this happen? Respect the Dolphin
