ColdDuck 0 #1 October 15, 2002 Hey I am just wondering if anyone's auto insurance went up significantly recently? Because mine sure did. Get this in July I paid $285.00 for six months on my 1995 Honda 4-dr. Which was great compared to the $1000 I used to pay a year for my truck. I got a bill the other day that says I owe another $485.00 in November. The insurance company told me that everyone's rates were going up like that. Oh I have no tickets of any kind and I still get a good student discount. What a crock of SHIT. "Insurance should called In case shit happens, if shit don't happen shouldn't I get my money back?" dove 0 #3 October 15, 2002 Time to start shopping. I was surprised a few years ago when I was changing insurance and calling tons of places how much the rates varied for exactly the same coverage. Top rate was $600 OVER the lowest rate! That's a huge range! Open your yellow pages and pick up the phone! Fall in dove.

ColdDuck 0 #7 October 15, 2002 It's like the great philospher Chris Rock once said "Insurance should be called in case shit happens, If shit don't happen I should get my money back" "Insurance should called In case shit happens, if shit don't happen shouldn't I get my money back?" dove 0 #8 October 15, 2002 Seriously - at least call Progressive. They really do give you other companies' rates as well. Good luck! I remember hearing somewhere that lots of insurance companies that also provide home/property insurance were hurtin' from 9/11 and also from all the mold claims that are plaguing many areas. Fall in dove.
seedy 0 #9 October 15, 2002 Quote Right now I have State Farm Insurance One of the reasons that they are raising rates is that they got hit so hard with the ice storm last winter. My home insurance is through them and when I called, the adjuster settled with me over the phone. He said they had so many claims they could not send adjusters out to check. They were getting calls from as far south as Texas and up through Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and right on east all the way to New York. Around here they have had to reorganize and try to recoup their losses. I intend to live forever -- so far, so good.

Jimbo 0 #12 October 15, 2002 QuoteKick ass service *cough* bullshit Quote...and great rates. I have never had one complaint about them . Just try and file a claim. Even though their rates are usually better than everyone on the planet my experience has been that their customer service couldn't suck more. Others in my family have had similar experiences. There was a time when USAA set the bar for technology and customer service in the insurance industry, sadly that time is past. Oh yeah, about that check, it's actually a dividend, not a rebate. I still have one laying around here somewhere for about $4.00, it's a few years old, think it's still good? - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. fasterfaller 0 #13 October 15, 2002 I have used the underinsured/uninsured part of the policy twice without a problem . I also have them for homeowners and they paid for some extensive termite damage .
rmsmith 1 #14 October 15, 2002 QuoteWhat a crock of SHIT. Nope, that's the way it is when the insurance company's investments don't work out the way they originally thought. Time for the little people to dig deeper and bend the knee!
