mouth 0 #1 October 7, 2002 OK all you skydiving fans I need some suggestions. I have from Dec 25 to Jan 2 off (no work and no kids) so I need to find some trouble. Whose DZ is having a bash during that time? Maybe I can even hit several places during this time so give me all your suggestions. freeflir29 0 #2 October 7, 2002 Sounds like an Eloy Holiday Boogie to me.
flyhi 24 #3 October 7, 2002 Lake Wales has stuff going on during that time and, I think, Z-Hills does, too.Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics.
nws01 0 #4 October 7, 2002 Eloy is the place to be. I was at Lake Wales last Christmas and there was not a lot going on. It is a pretty good dz but Eloy's Boogie is where it is supposed to be.

happythoughts 0 #8 October 7, 2002 "I was at Lake Wales last Christmas and there was not a lot going on. " Lake Wales has a good group from Canada, but they don't get there until January. Z-Hills has 3 Otters during that week. Usually Guy Wright and Boxman organize cool big-ways. I take that week off from work. For freefliers, there is a lot going on also. The dz population triples that week. Camping, bonfires, good vibes. Thanks to Boxman for organizing that cool 3-point 21-way last weekend. Built by 8K. Wahoo! dove 0 #9 October 7, 2002 Zhills does have 3 otters that week, but they do all winter long! That's cause the place is rockin' EVERY week during the winter! They usually do night jumps, high altitude, etc during that week. Also, the new years party kicks ass too. Plenty of RW, FF, CRW and booze for everyone! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Fall in dove. CanuckInUSA 0 #10 October 7, 2002 Last year I went skiing on Christmas Day in Vail CO (what a great day). But this year I think a few days to a week of skydiving sounds kind of fun. So since I've yet to visit Arizona (Arizona and Nevada being the only western US states I've yet to set foot in) I like the thought of visiting Marana in the Tucson area. CanuckInUSA 0 #14 October 7, 2002 Nope ... but I'm still kind of new to this sport (I was re-born on July 14th, 2002 and only have 41 jumps to date). So the only Florida based DZs I knew about (and haven't even come close to visiting) are DeLand and Skydive Miami. But I will visit the ZHills website now (assuming they have one). kinney29 0 #15 October 7, 2002 In my eyes it's sorta a meca of skydiving. My freinds allways want me to go with them when they go because my mom live in Zhills, which means free place to stay and free food. ADAPT OR DIE

Z-hills is Zephyrhills, Florida. The dz is www.skydivecity.com There is plenty of camping. Rental trailers are available, but during the season, you may want to call ahead. Finding out about zhills is as easy as asking people at your dz. It is reasonably close to Tampa, if you want a little in-town night life. The dz bonfire parties are better though. The winter season there is huge. Some of the most experienced RW organizers and freefliers in the world are there. Lots of opportunities to meet and learn from the best. (ok, so I'm biased, sue me.)
