AggieDave 6 #1 October 7, 2002 After having my canopy for about 4 weeks now, I finally have some pics to post, since Kevin (kbell) was cool enough to take a couple shots of me landing. Once I can get the pics from Kathy (QueenBee), I'll post the pics of all my new gear. I think I'm one of the only people in the US to have qualified for his D license before he owned his first rig...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." freeflir29 0 #4 October 7, 2002 Nice canopy!!! Lets lose that "Gumby" position when on final though. We all know the number 1 rule right? Always look cool!!!
AggieDave 6 #5 October 7, 2002 You know, that "Gumby" postion is just so comfy, though... --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
outofit 0 #6 October 7, 2002 nice rig! how much did that set ya back? It is better to be dead and cool than alive and uncool!

konradptr 0 #12 October 7, 2002 That pic isn't of you... If that was you, and you were a real Texan, you would have had your cowboy hat on... ------------------------------------------ Getting banned isn't that bad......
AggieDave 6 #13 October 7, 2002 Quote you would have had your cowboy hat on I keep meaning to do a hop-n-pop with one so I can wear it while landing for a good picture (I'd need to tie it down, so it'd stay on, though)...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." rking12 0 #14 October 7, 2002 How are you liking the canopy? How many jumps do you have on it now?
AggieDave 6 #15 October 7, 2002 I'm loving the canopy, although I only have about 20 jumps on it, for a couple weekends, I haven't been able to jump as much as I had wanted too. Thanks for the tip about upsizing the slider, my openings are some of the sweetest.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." rking12 0 #16 October 7, 2002 Glad to hear you are liking it! Sam and I need to get down there but I have been very busy. maybe week after next...
AggieDave 6 #17 October 7, 2002 That'd be cool, although I've got a huge Jazz gig on that Saturday and I may be leaving town after that...so that weekend is all up in the air, I'll let you know if I'll be there (as if that'd make a difference or not for you coming down to Aggieland, hahaha). Hey, saw your pic in Parachutist... --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
TheBile 0 #18 October 8, 2002 Quote I keep meaning to do a hop-n-pop with one so I can wear it while landing for a good picture (I'd need to tie it down, so it'd stay on, though)... Careful with that, man. I know it'll only be a hop and pop but with the surface area of the hat you might end up like that pink flamingo. Cool canopy colors. Reminds me of a barbecue-griddled Kermit. nacmacfeegle 0 #19 October 8, 2002 sschweeet lookin' canopy Dave. No more raggy old 'freefly friendly' rigs and flareless F111 skytrucks for you....One thing though, remember what the nice man from Generation Freefly told you about hats..... steve1 5 #20 October 8, 2002 Nice looking canopy. I've heard that the heatwave is very comparable to a stilleto. Did you order it from South Africa? Steve1
AggieDave 6 #21 October 8, 2002 I have a nice Mindwarp that I usually wear AND I usually wear goggles, this was one of those running to the plane last minute hop-n-pops that tend to be a lot of fun --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #22 October 8, 2002 It is very compariable to a Stilletto, although it has a longer control range, its not as twitchy. It has a longer recovery arc too, but beyond that, its very similar. I got it from Rig & Things Paraservice.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
nws01 0 #23 October 8, 2002 Quote I got it from Rig & Things Paraservice. Roy Rocks! I got the opportunity to make my first 100 jumps with Roy and he got me my rig too, Dave.
