Can anyone say they've legally killed someone?

You could dispense ice? Whoa, that's fucking cool man!

No Dave, he was like a refrigerator because guys used to store their meat in him. ;)

American History X. One awesome movie.

Yeah, I remember the first time I saw it, September 10th, 2001. Talk about going from one extreme to the other (feeling of total racial tolerance - disliking people who did that.) [:/]

I have been carrying a gun on a Semi-regular basis for about 10 years now. Only had to actually pull it out once. I was coming out of an auto parts store in Clarksville, TN. It was about 330 in the afternoon and I had just bought some new brake pads. I climb in my Jeep (windows down, hot summer day) and I'm putting my receipt in the console. Funny coincidence that my .45 was in the console too. This guy (Black male about 30 and kinda scragely lookin) catches me off guard when he is somewhat suddenly standing at my passenger side window. The first thing out of his mouth...."Nice Jeep. I think I'll take it from you." Normally, I would have taken this as a semi joke. Problem #1...I couldn't see his hands. They were BOTH below the window. That made me nervous. So, he gets a face FULL of .45 barrel. I kindly asked to see his hands. He was MOST cooperative and once I saw he didn't have anything in them I just told him that he should run. Very quickly away from me. He did so...and I went home and changed my bake pads. Somehow....no one in the store or the parking lot even noticed. I was happy about that since I REALLY didn't feel like discussing this with cops. ;)

Don't you mean, changed your underwear

Nahh...made me mad more than scared. I couldn't believe that guy would say something SOOOO stupid. He and I both were just lucky I wasn't the type to shoot first and ask questions later. Changing the pants happened after the incident with the cops. ;)

Good analogy, actually. Dynamite is scary to some people; properly used and stored, there's not actually much risk to being around it. Heights are scary to some people; but for those of us who climb or skydive, they're just the reason for the great scenery. They're not even all that dangerous when proper precautions are taken.

Guns are no different than any other piece of equipment. They are surely dangerous, but far more people kill themselves (and others) with cars than with guns. In both cases, competent use is what keeps you alive when using them.

Very well said buddy. Glen.
We'd probably find out french fries kill more people than guns.

Ive been a cop for 14 years. Ive come VERY close to killing someone about half a dozen times (I'm not talking about drawing the pistol, pointing it at people, etc, but actually killing them,,,big difference).

Twice have been from a sniper position. Kinda a different feeling being a hundred yards away about to kill someone posing no threat to you personally and he doesnt even know youre there. Takes a very different mindset than killing in the heat of combat. But as someone pointed out, the gunfight starts long before the guns are out.

A good book on the subject of killing and the mindset involved is "On Killing" by Col Dave Grossman.

I have a good friend who is a sniper in another city who killed someone (from a sniper position) a couple of years ago. He has told me of the ensuing investigation and grand jury hearing and all. He said the ordeal was way more traumatic than the shooting ever was.

A few more jraf . Don't worry about the shell casings if you wore gloves . Use magsafe or glaser ammo that is pre-fragmented . The temporary stretch cavity is horrendous . For a rifle use nosler ballistic tip bullets . If you use a .22 , the rule is head shot only as the skull makes it nearly impossible to do ballistics testing . Make sure you throw away the ammo box and the un-fired rounds . NEVER buy more than one box of the same kind of ammo as what you carry . It will screw you if you don't . Don't waste a good gun , just trash the barrel , firing pin , ejecter , and the extractor . If you have planned to kill , buy the previous parts first and put the factory parts back after you are done . If you had a body in your trunk , burn the car because one hair can convict you . You can carry trace evidence and never even see it . Bury the body in a wash or dry river bed and don't forget the lime , it is VERY easy to hide digging in sand . The water and the amount of air that can penetrate the sand will rapidly de-compose the body .

no no no no no
much to messy..

simply acquire a old style mercury thermometer. clean it, and while wearing gloves , carefully place it in the gas tank of the offending person. spend the next while as far away from their car as possible, eventually the combination of low gas and sudden turn will break thin glass on the end of the thermometer and all you will need is a shocked look and a reasonable alibi

I prefer the 10gauge speaker wire run from the ignition coil and the negative terminal of the battery. Run it up under the car, then into the gas tank and tape the two ends in place about 1/4" apart. When the key is turned BOOM...and the speaker wire melts.
