moodyskydiver 0 #1 October 3, 2002 So how many of you have really goofy pets? How about pets that do stupid shit that drives you crazy? I decided to let my ferrets out to play earlier. Well the youngest one, Harley, decided to wiggle back behind our washer and dryer, then into the venting ducts that lead outside. After a panic search around our house we noticed the open (ferret-sized) duct and thought "oh shit!" Needless to say after a half hour search inside and out, we find the little booger outside under the back porch. He was not 10 feet away from 3 dogs that are alot bigger than him and,had they known he was there, would probably have turned him into a ferret chew-toy.After alot of the baby talk and the sound of his favorite squeaky toy, I finally got my hands on the little tube-rat. Thank god I taught them to come to the sound of a squeaky toy! Sorry.Just had to vent and do a little mindless post whoring. "...just an earthbound misfit, I." FallinWoman 1 #21 October 3, 2002 QuoteI have a dog (shepard/chow mix) who has six toes on his hind legs. Named him Hex When I got my freak cat I was so trying to think of the perfect clever name...I wanted to go with Poly, for polydactyl, but he is a boy....Hex is brilliant!!! He ended up being named Koby...which is not clever in the least. Oh, well.... Anne ~Anne I'm a Doll!!!!
skygal3 0 #22 October 3, 2002 I love my kitties!!! My litle girl does back flips...my boy is so funny...he was feral for a while. He is used to me now, but is very skiddish. I had a friend sleep over one night, and my kitty is very accustomed to my patterns. So my friend was in the shower, Charlie, my kitty, came down the stairs, stopped in front of the bathroom, looked at the bathroom and heard the shwer, looked at me, looked at the bathroom again and bolted! down the stairs!!! kingbunky 3 #23 October 3, 2002 let's see, i have a harley and a ferret, but they're different critters. my harley is a jack russell terrier who has, from the day we brought him home, slept under the covers at the foot of my bed. when he's on the couch, he'll burrow under a pillow. i can walk him with a laser pointer, he'll chase the dot up and down the stairs until he's ready to fall over. i have two ferrets, simon and lilly, who chase the cats, play with the dogs, and have figured out how to climb up on the kitchen counter. they used to open a drawer and climb up the back of them, then open the top drawer and they were up there. i put child proof latches on the top drawers, so lilly figured out that she could grab a towel attached to the oven door handle and pull herself up hand over hand (forepaw over forepaw?)and get up that way. one of my cats will sleep flat on his back, legs spread wide. it just looks odd. my grandmother used to have a saint bernard that would go to the garden, dig up turnips and eat them."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." AggieDave 6 #24 October 3, 2002 QuoteI made the test, on one plate I put meat on the other it was carrot and tomatoes, she ate the carrots and the tomatoes and left the meat I've dated girls like that before. One that I took on maybe 2 dates, she'd get pissy if I ate meat when we went out. Never mind she was frail and weak looking, I was worried if the wind picked up I'd have to run down the road trying to catch her...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
