Rainbow canopy = gay skydiver????

Hmmm...my friends canopy is kind of a rainbow pattern. Now you have me concerned. Her girlfriend says she is not a lesbian. She says she can tell by taste. I can't tell the difference. Do you think I should ask her? (Just for the sake of knowing, I mean.);)

Gee, the two canopies I've ordered new are rainbow . . . but I seem to like women.

This topic reminds me of the advice my friend's mother gave her when she bought her first rig. "Get all earth tones! Skydiving is a male dominated sport, and guys like earth tones, so you'll get more money for it if you have to sell it someday." She ended up with the most godawful green-tan-brown northern light you ever saw.

To answer your question, as far as I can tell skydiving is a fairly gay friendly community

The more interesting question is why does purple seem to be such a predominant color at dropzones

Scientific fact: purple is one of if the only color that stimulates both the rods and cones in our eyes there fore making it more applealing to more people.

Cultural/religius fact: some cultures believe that stones hold power and florite and amythesyst are both purple and are said to have a balancing and calming effect to the spirit therefore more people seek the color purple.

Historical fact: purple was the color of royalty in part because purple dye was rare and expensive and commoners couldn't afford it...so maybe we like purple cause it sets us apart from commoners
