Well, depending on the snow depth on the road it may be 3 hours....or more.....but exactly when the conditions are perfect I don't know. Chris
weid14 0 #3 October 2, 2002 ok, cool three hours is doable, I've got an invite out there that is hard to pass up. (anything involving cheap skiing is hard to pass up!
 Ducky 0 #4 October 2, 2002 I flew out there in April to ski from Atlanta. Everyone else was crying about prices direct to Steamboat and wanted a shuttle for $100+++. I did more research and found cheap tix direct into Steamboat. They key is flying at the right time (day of week) and airline (United/delta/UsAir). The resorts out west subsidize flights by the airlines to bring in guest. Try looking on the Steamboat website they actually post a tentative "schedule" of flights. Just keep checkin prices on the web and don't buy too EARLY, usually fares wil remian low as late as 2-3 weeks before departure time. kwakSometimes your the bug, sometimes your the windshield. Sometimes your the hammer sometimes your the nail. Question is Hun, Do you wanna get hammered or do you wanna get nailed????? Not sure of dates but I think it's in April. I probably wouldn't even be there but a few hours a night to sleep and that would only be for like 10 of those days. I need an alternative to the $600 and some dollar hotel bill.
