SatchFan 0 #7 October 1, 2002 I went with Guiness but I do like Bass. I had a German beer this weekend that was called Warsteiner that was REALLY good. It was so dark it looked like coffee and you had to chew it before you swallowed. It only took 2 big mugs to feel good.
ChileRelleno 0 #8 October 1, 2002 Ya'all need to try anything from Samuel Smiths if you can find it,no I don,t mean Samuel Adams. Try the Imperial Stout,Nut Brown Ale,Taddy Porter and Oatmeal Stout... I used to be Addicted to this stuff. Or if ya'all want to put a little effort into it you can homebrew and make it taste the way you want it,also you can up the alcohol content,15/20% beer anyone,it'll knock you on your arse! But, I give you credit for leaving Miller High Life and Coors Light off the list. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

jraf 0 #13 October 1, 2002 Poor deprived children! It takes a true drunk to tell you all you are missing. I could start describing the fine beers I love and drink but it would take out the DZ.com server. And thanks to all gods and deities for bringing the fine art of microbrewing back to our country. Now on can without doubt say that we are the land of worst but also of the best beers in the world (down with Anheuser-Busch)jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. jraf 0 #14 October 1, 2002 Looks like the ship from Belgium arrived. Personally I am not a great fan of Trappiste brews, but that's only my own taste. When it comes to sweeter beers I preffer the German Steinbier. As according to the Beer purity law (Rheinheitsgebot) of 1516 no outside sugar ma be added to beer, red hot stones are cast into the wats to collect caramel extracted by the extreme temperature of the stone. These caramel covered stones are then put into the curing tanks and the beer's own natural sugar dissolves in the godly liquid. German stone = Stein, hence Steinbier. My all time favourites are English live bitters. Often served in small coutryside pubs where the smell of chicken shit and fresh soil has reigned for centuries. Served with a hearty meat pie and accompanied by excellent conversation. Gotta love it!jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275
