I picked Bass but if I hear one of those "Bring on the twelve hour days....ect..." on the radio again for Bass, a taste of something new I'm going to shoot myself. Does anyone else hate those ads?

Ya'all need to try anything from Samuel Smiths if you can find it,no I don,t mean Samuel Adams. Try the Imperial Stout,Nut Brown Ale,Taddy Porter and Oatmeal Stout... I used to be Addicted to this stuff.
Or if ya'all want to put a little effort into it you can homebrew and make it taste the way you want it,also you can up the alcohol content,15/20% beer anyone,it'll knock you on your arse!

Where the hell is the Pilsner Urquel, Brooklyn Lager, Sam Adams, Hoegaarden, Chimay, Duvel?

Ahhh, I love living in the city. Check out my favorite neighborhood bar...just a block away

Monk's Belgium Cafe & Beer Emporium

On tap this week:
Chimay Triple (Chimay White)
-from- Belgium

The Debut of Chimay regularly available on tap outside of Belgium. Rich, spicy blond Trappist triple. Brewed in a trappiste monestary deep in the Ardennes Mts.

Hoegaarden
-from- Belgium

A wheat beer brewed with a bit of coriander & orange peel. Based upon a 500 yr old recipe. Great summer beer. Refreshing!

Saison Dupont

This is the one beer that ll Belgian brewers love. cloudy pale color. A bit of black pepper in the first taste with some citrus/sourness in the finish. I LOVE THIS BEER!

Abbaye de Leffe Brune

Light to medium body. Somewhat sweet, malty nose. Crisp for a double style ale. Medium finish.

WOW! One of a handful of places in the world to have this on tap. Frothy head, citrus nose, tart/funky/yummy!

The hoppiest Belgian beer that I've ever tasted. It's hoppy even by American standards. Lots of pale malt in the nose & taste, but its all hops in the finish.

A funkier version than most Saison styles. Very good, earthy beer. Only a few kegs hit our shores... don't miss out o this great beer!

Poor deprived children! It takes a true drunk to tell you all you are missing. I could start describing the fine beers I love and drink but it would take out the DZ.com serverB|. And thanks to all gods and deities for bringing the fine art of microbrewing back to our country. Now on can without doubt say that we are the land of worst but also of the best beers in the world (down with Anheuser-BuschB|)

Looks like the ship from Belgium arrived. Personally I am not a great fan of Trappiste brews, but that's only my own taste. When it comes to sweeter beers I preffer the German Steinbier. As according to the Beer purity law (Rheinheitsgebot) of 1516 no outside sugar ma be added to beer, red hot stones are cast into the wats to collect caramel extracted by the extreme temperature of the stone. These caramel covered stones are then put into the curing tanks and the beer's own natural sugar dissolves in the godly liquid. German stone = Stein, hence Steinbier.
My all time favourites are English live bitters. Often served in small coutryside pubs where the smell of chicken shit and fresh soil has reigned for centuries. Served with a hearty meat pie and accompanied by excellent conversation. Gotta love it!
