hi i've just taken over as captain of leeds uni skydiving club in the uk.its awesome, we have about 200 members and are the best in the country but we have a real problem retaining RAPS students cos of the weather over here.they just get fed up when they start in the winter,can't afford the lump sum for AFF and give up.with our numbers we can't take all the students to the dz at the same time so what i'm trynna do is make our mid week socials off the dz more interesting and skydiving related by raffling off merchandise. theoretically my new members win some cool free stuff, get more interested, make better friends and stick with it, while i get to make some money for my club to help them out.skydivings expensive as you know, especially for poor uni students!
so if anyone has any stuff they'd like to give me or if you could put me in touch with someone who has, i'd be unbelievably grateful.
