MiataDRM 0 #1 September 21, 2002 I'm posting this kind of late, but.... I'm new in NC (again), and looking for a new home DZ. I'm driving out tomorrow to jump & I need some feedback. Both, Raeford & CSS are relatively the same distance from me (3 hrs )...which one is more fun & freefly friendly? Blue stuff & thing!I'm a Pschydiver! Majdi E. MiataDRM 0 #3 September 21, 2002 I usually average btwn 2-4 jumps in a wkend...depends on money and what's going on. I'm used to jumping at Orange (VA), and just want to find a fun place to place. Any ideas? Maj

Jimbo 0 #8 September 22, 2002 QuoteAre you looking to turn the most loads a weekend or have more fun on less jumps? Are you suggesting that by jumping at a larger DZ with lots of loads that one sacrifices fun? Are you suggesting that jumping at a DZ with fewer loads is more fun (sacrificing loads for fun?) BTW: If it were me I'd probably head of to Raeford, I'm not a big fan the Casa. However, be sure to head out to CSS for the Thanksgiving Boogie - that's always a TON of fun. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends. You are missed. weid14 0 #9 September 22, 2002 its true -- when I"m doing back to back loads, 12 jumps per day Im having No fun at all.... That's the main reason we haven't been up to CSS yet! Gee, it's great having the new dilema of "which DZ with the big planes do I want to go to...." Ah, such hard choices!
 SkymonkeyONE 4 #12 September 23, 2002 We had an odd Sunday at Raeford. One Otter was down for a hot section, the other was contracted to the GK's for part of the day, so we ended up jumping the two cessnas early, then the CASA all afternoon. Majdi came over from the coast and seemed like he had a good time, though he did not have sense enough to ask if he could crash in the Raeford Hilton or anyone's RV (sort of like Pammi and Merrick the first couple of times!). I hooked him up with Stephen Lee and the rest of the Vertical Express guys on Sunday morning. I met the gang at Raeford and got to jump and party w/ them on Sat. On Sun, I played/sobered up @ Raeford some more....then took off in a big convoy to the Skydiving Place for a few jumps late in the afternoon. Both places were fun and very welcoming. It was great to finally meet Chuck Blue and a few other dz.commers. All in all...I got 8 jumps (jumped out of a Super Otter, Casa, cessna & King Air in 1 wkend), made new friends and had a blast! Betsy (bbarnhouse)...how in depth of a report are you looking for? I'm a Pschydiver! Majdi E.
