Patkat 0 #26 September 19, 2002 QuoteMy truck has a flat.(4th one in 3 months!) Well, that takes care of all of 'em Seriously, though - I've been in the position of being around a, for lack of a better term, former loved one - same social circle, same parties, same school, all that (my girlfriend broke up with me and 1 week later started seeing my former roommate) and it wore me down something fierce. So I finally just gathered a little gumption and moved the hell out of town. Did me no end of good, being in a new city - sure, I didn't know anyone, but at least I wasn't missing people who moved away: I was making new friends. And of course, it came to pass that Maytown was 1/2 hour away and I took the first jump course, but that's gravy. If seeing that ex and his new chicky and their family is getting you down, transfer schools, get some loans, find a place where you can keep yer dog, learn to fix a flat (or how to look helpless and get a guy to do it foer ya - we eat that stuff up!) and enjoy your new place in the sun! Oh, and make sure there's a DZ nearby - instant friends! -patkatPatkat gotta exercise my demons!

AndyMan 7 #28 September 19, 2002 yes, a very cool dog. I got to meet Sabre on my way down to bryan. Not only gorgeous, but one of the friendliest dogs I've ever met. Very cool dog, Amber. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
moodyskydiver 0 #29 September 19, 2002 I've thought about that. But things are difficult.I'm working on my parents ranch b/c they badly need the help.I cant just leave. Besides, I agreed to help them out here as long as I stayed in college and they would pay for my skydiving in return. I'm just trying to keep a low profile. "...just an earthbound misfit, I." moodyskydiver 0 #30 September 19, 2002 Quotecool dog! and a great name, my canopy and favorite weapon! (and you spelled it right too! rock on! Yep! I got him while I was still with my ex and he had a Sabre 135...and I thought it kinda fit him,so thats what we called him.Its pretty interesting trying to sleep on a twin size waterbed when a 120lb Alaskan Malamute decides you arent safe until hes layin across your feet on the bed with you. Thank god we moved to the country! He loves being outside now..so I have my bed back! (heh..got a new bed too) "...just an earthbound misfit, I." FallingILweenie 0 #31 September 19, 2002 Seems like a lot of people are having a bad time lately.... I had some really serious shit go down with some close friends last week....that will take some time to fix. Then on Saturday, some of the stitching on my harness broke, rendering the rig unusable. While it is fixable, it's not worth it as it is an old as hell harness so I am now faced with ordering a new container with money i don't have. So, aside from this weekend, where I am borrowing a rig to jump on jumps i already paid for, I am pretty much done jumping for the year. I could borrow a rig for further jumping, but the money won't be there. eh, when it rains, it pours. But the good thing about bad luck is that it gets better. blue ones. quatorze 1 #33 September 19, 2002 I hate to sound like the only one areound trying to blow sunshine up everyone's skirt, but if we did not have bad things, we would never really appreciate the good. Bad things happening serves a purpose, it makes us recognize the good. I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle

quatorze 1 #35 September 19, 2002 I just like the idea that if we never experienced bad how could we really know how good it is to be around those who do understand (read: skydivers), those who care, a good days worth of jumping, and a cold beer. The good stuff. Or are you just waiting for the coffee to take effect? hehehe I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
gemini 0 #36 September 19, 2002 QuoteCoffee Yep, that's it! No wait...something bad has to happen first so I will appreciate the coffee!?! Blue skies, Jim
quatorze 1 #37 September 19, 2002 Don't ask for it too loudly or you may wind up putting salt instead of sugar in on accident. I'm not afriad of dying, I'm afraid of never really living- Erin Engle
gemini 0 #38 September 19, 2002 Nope. Hot and black. Could spill it in my lap though driving to work. That would definitely change the "appreciation" right? Blue skies, Jim

moodyskydiver 0 #43 September 19, 2002 Well, if you read my first post in this thread, then you know the situation with my dog,Sabre. Well, things have gotten worse. Because my dad is a fucking selfish asshole, I now have to get rid of my puppy. So if anyone can or knows of anyone who could give him a nice home please let me know. He is an Alaskan Malamute and is about 2 years old and 100-120lbs. He is very sweet, playful and is good with kids. Please help me give my puppy a good home. There is already a pic of him posted in this thread. "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
Zenister 0 #44 September 19, 2002 cant set up a run leash system? that way he can still be outside, but cant go everywhere...not ideal but better than giving him up ____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. moodyskydiver 0 #45 September 19, 2002 Well, its already too late for that. I got into a fight with my dad about him and now my dad says he has to go. All my dad cares about is his fucking horses...the whole world to go to hell and he'd still be happy as long as the g'damned horses were there for him to play with.He has always hated Sabre b/c he was my dog and was deemed "useless" b/c he didnt work horses.Gee! Wanna know why Sabre is getting the boot? b/c my dad just bought 2 new fucking horses and he's afraid Sabre will chase them! (as if 76 acres wasnt enough room for my dog and all the horses!)God! I hate my dad! "...just an earthbound misfit, I."
