wceviper 0 #1 September 19, 2002 When you exit the back of the plane traveling at high speed (IE 727), instead of the side. Do you still get slammed by the wind, or do you get the "sucked out" feeling. -JasonYou may push me around, but you cannot win! You may throw me down, but i'll rise again! freeflir29 0 #2 September 19, 2002 Any tail gate exit will have a "dead air" space behind it. The larger the aircraft...the larger the dead air. Once you drop below that you enter the wind blast. Can be a little difficult for someone who hasn't done it before.

On the 727 you have about 1/3 of a second of no wind, then the wind hits you like a wet rug being thrown at you.
TEB6363 0 #4 September 19, 2002 So, once you do it, it is no longer difficult to deal with?? Running "up" and out the back of the van after a big chunk left was also a blast... Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!!

Pressurize the cabin, have everyone take grips, then blow the door off so everyone gets sucked out. The survival rate might be low, but it would be a blast!
