wildblue 7 #27 September 17, 2002 QuoteUmmm Wildblue.... keep your monkey to yourself please...no one needs to see it. Would you like to pet my monkey? If it's bad, you can spank my monkey. If it's really bad, you can beat the monkey. Don't shake the monkey though.it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality
PhreeZone 20 #28 September 17, 2002 Good one Chris... I see you've been keeping quiet (unlike some) on the other, "un regulated" place. See.. I'm not the only lurker on Rec. TT, Peanut, the SheepMaster, Treetop.. they all have their place over there, including the Kool-aid Drinkers like me.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
Deuce 1 #29 September 17, 2002 I like the monkey very much. I am grateful for it's presence. Cummings appears to be a genuine badass skydiver who definitely knows his shit. From a safe place, other people will always throw rocks at the great ones. Upon seeing a badass walking down the street, it's one thing to say to your buddy at your side in a quiet voice "Who the hell does he think he is?" It's an entirely different thing to stop the badass in his tracks and demand "Who the hell do you think you are?" I tend to just admire the badass, and chuckle at his swagger. And I really like the picture of the monkey f*cking a robot.
sitflyr 0 #30 September 17, 2002 I don't personally know Ed, either. I do, however, know his reputation in the skydiving community as someone of integrity. (I'm very surprised to see how many here don't.) I think that the ad is a very fine tribute by Ed to those who were lost last year. I remember right after it happened, people over on the wreck were anxious to get a copy of that picture, knowing that no one would ever again fly past the Twin Towers. dove 0 #31 September 17, 2002 Cummings was one of the people I dealt with when I was buying my first set of gear. In ended up NOT buying from him - not because his prices were bad, but because he was just as pompous on the phone as he comes across in his ads. "I came up with this idea, I'm the only one to do this, my prices are better than all others..." And on the last comment, I quoted someone else's price on something and he refused to meet it saying he wouldn't make enough off of it then. Wildblue - I ADORE your monkey! I don't want to spank it, but could I please pet it? Fall in dove.
