New "skydiving" ride?

Recommended Posts

True....In Tennesee there was this thing called the ejection seat. That was a fun contraption. As far as this Dropzone ride, it looks like the Giant Drop at 6 Flags Great America. Cool ride if you like that stomach in the throat feeling. Its cool to see a penny on your leg harness or held out in your had appear to be in zero gravity as you plummit.

Cheers!
Chris

Along those lines, has anyone tried that newest ones where they put you in a harness that is conencted to wires (sorta like a giant swing), winch you up and let you swing? They advertise it as "the sensation of skydiving and hang gliding combined"

I tried the SkyCoaster in FL. I understand that it's operated by the same folks who run SkyVenture.... The attendees of the Airspeed Tunnel Camp got to try it for free.... Actually, I liked it!!

BTW: The tower is about 300' and Graig Girard from Airspeed did a BASE jump off of it.

Yeah, no kidding... What's the deal with that anyways? You pay almost $50 to get in the amusement park, and then they want to charge you $30 to ride this ride...

I've always wondered if one tracked a good track, if you could track all the way up the other side of the arc...
I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. eat sushi, get smoochieTTK#1

They have one of these in Kansas City at Worlds of Fun. They call it the Ripcord. I did this with my grandson back in May. It was what me got all fired up again to go do a skydive. I did my first jump in July. They don't compare, but I may not have jumped if it wasn't for the ride.

I intend to live forever -- so far, so good.
