skybytch 273 #1 September 1, 2002 Just popping in while I wait for the kid and ex to get done flying and come home... Had a great day jumping at Perris today! Did a 7 way speed star out of the turbine DC3 with Lummy, Sebazz, Chromey, Cornholio, jams and Duece; lots of fun. Then we went back up and went for the dz.com hybrid record - pulled a sweet 6 way out of the Skyvan, and had the two hangars both dropped at the same time it woulda worked! As it was, only one stood up and we all funneled around him. Quite the funny video Then I blew everybody off (yep. I suck) for my 900th. Joined hottamaly's group (other dz.commer's in the group included billvon, amy, ltdiver and katecooper) and did a 30 way... out of the DC3. I was about half way back; single file exit. Lonnnnnnng dive! Sweet dock (third to touch the base, which was perfect since I was 3 behind the base in the lineup). The dive didn't complete, but I didn't care - I did my job and had a great time doing it. When I left the dz they were getting ready to do the sunset load, then the dz.com crew were planning to start partyin' their asses off.

Deuce 1 #21 September 3, 2002 Quote Quote don't forget the ole timers in front of us singing all their favorite songs.. the DC3 was soo sweet, and fast too... ! Great time, Lummy! Some of those tough ole b*stards had jumped out of the original DC-3's! I had to laugh at them teasing us because it didn't take an hour to get to altitude (like 10 minutes!), and we didn't get covered with oil exhaust on exit. At least two of those guys had prosthetic limbs. Great songs too. And they all had these "Air Trash" ballcaps on. I cracked my ribs getting out of that puny door, so the experience was complete for me. All: If you ever get a chance to jump out of that turbine DC-3, jump on it! If you ever get a chance to jump out of it for $14.50....oh, too bad, we used all those chances up!

Deuce 1 #24 September 3, 2002 Quote Oh MAN.. are you ok? you were on my back, weren't you? I think on the six way out of the 3 I was on TOM's (the other Matt, jams) back. I crashed into you later, out of the Van. I'm fine, thanks. I figure a day skydiving without bruises is a day when I wasn't trying hard enough! 4 Van jumps and 3 DC-3 jumps, what a day! skybytch 273 #25 September 3, 2002 Quote At least two of those guys had prosthetic limbs. One of those two is Lyle Cameron Jr. Pull out your skydiving history books... his dad was a very active jumper (and IIRC a USPA board member? President?) "back in the day." Quote Great songs too. Yup. Now you know all the words to the ever popular "him"... "Hurray for Deuce. Hooray at last. Hooray for Deuce. He's a horse's ass. Him! Him! Fuck Him!"
