Muenkel 0 #51 August 26, 2002 First Car: 1981 Camaro. Got it on Dec 29th and smacked it up on Jan. 24th. They suck in slippery conditions! However it did hold up better than the Mercedes I hit. Next: 1985 Olds Toronado leftover from my parents. Next: 1991 Pontiac Grand Am with a Quad 4 engine. Next: 1993 Nissan Maxima (totally hated this car) Next: 1996 Acura Integra Special Edition (this car rocked) Next: 1999 Acura 3.2TL (Loved this car! Mistake to trade it in.) Next: 2001 Acura MDX (First time I did the SUV thing) Presently: 2002 Acura RSX (Purchased this one this past April 8th and cracked it up on May 22nd. Love having a standard again. Hope to drive this one for 200,000 miles, but considering my history it probably won't happen.) _________________________________________ Chris
hohonukai 0 #52 August 26, 2002 1984 Pontiac Fiero - red Dad bought it for my 16th b-day. I just remember getting grounded for using it because in the first week I got a ticket (80 in a 55mph zone and I still had my paper license, not even the real plastic card). I snuck it out w/a g/f while being grounded, and it died on me out in BFE. I managed to get it started again, with a little help from my g/f's mom (who didn't tell my parents! yay!) and back in time without getting caught. Those are high maintenance cars though. I never got into an accident with it. I wuved that car though, my little red sportster.

The thing had a 1,600 cc, 70 HP engine, a 4 gear stick shift. There was not much body left on it and after my bud walked through the passenger side floor I had to steal one of my Mother's baking pans and rivet it in. You still had to lift your legs while I was driving through water. I had a German licence plate in the front (PA allows you that) and it was GL-KP 915. It was a funny little thing. There always was a load of empty beer cans and bottles on the back seat. I was once clocked doing 120 mph by a PA State Trooper - I convinced him he got the wrong person: After all my car was 12 years old and had such a tiny engine I had more cars that I care to remember since, but that one I will love forever!jraf Me Jungleman! I have you beat! The first car I ever had was a 1963 Corvair. It used to leak so badly during the winter that I would have to lift my feet during a turn to keep the waves of water from soaking them. We used to have eucalyptus trees on the side of our driveway. I used to leave the windows open to dry out the car. Seeds would fall inside and I'd have to weed the interior of my car every once in a while. I finally up graded to an orange 1971 Vega station wagon. I bought it for $100, rebuilt the engine myself for $400 and sold it a year later for $900. The Vega turned out to be a pretty good car. I never had a single problem it. My next car was another story. A black 1968 Mustang. Beautiful car but either the block or the head was warped - the machine shop couldn't figure it out either. I used to have to re-torque the head every once in a while to keep it from leaking antifreeze. I didn't get in to my car totaling phase until my first Prelude.
