wildblue 7 #1 August 19, 2002 There's a massive bug just hanging out on my window. I'd love to know what kind it is because I've never seen anything like it. The thing has to be 3 inches long, 6 legs (with what looks like little hooks for feet on each one), two 'bent' antenna, the back part of it is huge, and on it's top, it has what looks like spikes. It's a brown-ish color. Really kinda neat looking.it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

wildblue 7 #4 August 19, 2002 I'd actually like to catch it. Unfortunately, it's on the outside of a non-opening window on the 22nd floor of a building. it's like incest - you're substituting convenience for quality

freaksister 0 #21 August 20, 2002 That link was a really nasty looking bug. Gross. I hate bugs. I just don't do well with insects. Spiders don't really "bug" me (stupid pun intended) because I never catch them biting me but anything with antennae and wings and what look like *hairy* things on their legs can just stay away!! (cockroaches being the absolute WORST of the hairylookingleggeddiseasecarryingbug category...) Surprisingly enough, at the Ranch last week I only got bitten by three bugs: all spiders. Or maybe one spider just really liked BOTH of my feet and had to bite the left one twice then hit the right ankle. Who knows. However, so much for worrying about the "West Nile" virus. I didn't even see a mosquito. Wait - I take that back. I saw a HUGE 2 inch by 2 inch (approximately) one in the bathroom dying in the water next to the sink. Yikes! I really like the Ranch but I must say that their bathrooms are kinda scary. hehe hmm maybe it wasn't a mosquito...I don't remember seeing a sucker. Wait - I was there so there had to be a sucker there somewhere, eh?? My jokes are *really* bad today.
howardwhite 6 #22 August 20, 2002 Just a thought... we had a Dobson Fly at the DZ years ago and most everyone thought it came off a banana boat. Whenever I hear about a wierd monster bug, I think about it. HW

I think I'll go steal an airplane, fly up to pick you two up, buy a video camera with the credit card, and then hand over the card.
