Ducky 0 #4 August 19, 2002 On a better note, there is a dealer selling new Cypres for $820 each on Ebay. By all accounts they seem to be legit. Kinda cracks me up how the prices of cypres have come down yet people are still so unrealistic in their asking prices while trying to sell one. kwakSometimes your the bug, sometimes your the windshield. PhreeZone 20 #8 August 19, 2002 Hell... I'd buy one for $10 just do do tests on it like the battery test (Use more keeping it on or turning it off)and other things.... Someone might want ot point this out to BillVon or quade since they are geeks too...Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com
lummy 4 #9 August 19, 2002 QuoteKinda cracks me up how the prices of cypres have come down yet people are still so unrealistic in their asking prices while trying to sell one Airtec has a used cypress calculator that gives a decent dollar amount if you were trying to sell a cypres. Something to consider is that even though a cypres is ~$900, it still costs what almost $1500 over it's life. Someone has to pay for the 4 year and 8 year checks.... the fair way would be to factor in the costs and price accordingly...I promise not to TP Davis under canopy.. narcimund 0 #10 August 19, 2002 QuoteIf you are talking about the asap person , check the feedback before bidding . I recently paid full price for one rather than deal with them . I have a completely different opinion. I've bought TWO cypreses from ASAPTRADES at $820.00 and I'm thrilled. He's a strange, hyperactive kid, but so what? He quickly sent two, brand new, unopened cypreses for the price we agreed on. I think the reason people bitch about him is he's a huckster. This kid is always looking for an opportunity. If you casually mention you like hamburgers, he'll try to sell you his lunch. He's not a nice, polite, passive seller -- he's in your face trying to get ahead. And that's really obnoxious. On the other hand, he appears to be honest, offers a real value, and is probably a better businessman than any of us. If I needed another cypres, I'd call him right away. Auryn 0 #11 August 19, 2002 I also bought my Cypres from him.. He delivered quickly and made some very special shipping arrangements to get it to my rigger for install (which turned out to be pretty complicated) He did a great job for me. Blue Skies ! sangiro 25 #12 August 19, 2002 Read the post in the Guestbook (third from top last time I looked) about AADs supposedly destroyed in a train crash that are being sold on e-Bay. Check the serial numbers of missing Cypres units before you buy....Safe swoops Sangiro
Samurai136 0 #13 August 19, 2002 The ebay cypres has a close up photo of the serial number. It matches one of the 8 units on the non-airworthy list. Looks like no one bid on that auction. Ken"Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken
Michele 1 #14 August 19, 2002 QuoteAADs supposedly destroyed in a train crash that are being sold on e-Bay Morning! I fired off an e-mail last night to the Cypres people here in the US, because I was not aware they knew about it. Here is Cliff Schmucker's response: ********* Hi Michele, thank you for the email and information one of the guys who had been bidding was in contact with us and was very helpful in this matter we contacted the ebay seller to see if we could work something out with him to make sure they are not jumped again, but he hasn't replied... all we can do at this point is try to keep potential buyers informed - I hope everyone can appreciate that we are just trying to keep everyone safe, as we really do not know what these units were subjected to in the train wreck again, thanks for the kind email Cliff ************* Ciels and Pinks- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
