jtval 0 #79 August 14, 2002 She didn't mean it personally just figuratively this'll help you figure it out.. SHe is from N.Y. hahah i knew she was messing round. but thats the thing woth us NY even when we mess around sometime ppl think we're being assholes. haha. I think she was just wondering about who is online that may be of interest to her. I mean we(skydivers) are all interesting but some are not capable of taking care of them selves financially. I, personally, dont let that effect my opinion of someone. but if she was looking for a possible dat emaybe she would want soemone with her same types of goals...thisis just my take on it. (whos take can I give other then my own?) Janet, I dont think you were digging it was an honest question with a mixture of replies. you'll get that from time to time if your post isnt exactly clear. have fun live free, skydiveMy photos My Videos

AndyMan 7 #82 August 14, 2002 Pammi: Remember Cobra. Cobra can be done retroactively for up to one year after your old job. Meaning right now, you could sign up for your cobra benefits, and it'd be as if you never lost your insurance in the first place. Then, you could get a 'certificate of coverage' from the old insurance company. Basically this certificate says that if your kid's pre-existing condition gets billed to the OLD insurance company, not the new one. As I understand it, for this to work you need to show 12 monthes of concurrent converage... which is why I mentioned the cobra thing. Anyways, I have a REALLY, REALLY, REALLY good independent BCBS rep, that I'm sure would love to talk to you. He's been wonderfull in helping everyone in our company get really good coverage. PM me if you want his name. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.

AndyMan 7 #84 August 14, 2002 Scott: In the monthes of July and August, I'm going to be billing roughly $8000 to BCBS. So far my out of pocket expense has been roughly $30. If I had your insurance, as far as I can tell I'd be out $3000, at least. I'd strongly recomend you look into the differences between what you've got and a comprehensive policy, especially considering how easy it is to hurt yourself in this sport. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. gravitysurf808 0 #91 August 14, 2002 >In response to Pammi ________________________________________________ "This thread kinda went in a weird direction" _________________________________________________ Addressing more to the topic before the singles bar direction lol Kind of an interesting conversation I once had with a United Airlines pilot who had about 75-100 jumps while he was jumping at our local DZ: UAL pilot: So I was visiting this particular DZ back on the mainland and I happened to notice this guy who just packed parachutes all day and crashed on this small cot in the corner of the hangar every night. I thought to myself, "What a skybum loser!! Why doesn't he do something with his life???. gravity And????......your point is??? UAL Pilot: So I asked about this guy around the campfire that same night and quickly found out that he is actually a Nuclear Physicist who for quite a few years was making making around 6 figures but left it because he has finally found something to do that truly makes him happy each day. gravity thinking to self "God I love our sport!!!!" bbarnhouse 0 #95 August 14, 2002 Just a couple of thoughts.......all the credentials on the wall don't make for a descent person. Our circumstances may be different but its the choices we make that define who are are.......
