PLFXpert 0 #26 August 14, 2002 Ha ha ha! I do. But a lot of my luck is self-made. Also, it's possible I have so many problems that even the littlest thing frustrates me. Nah, neither are true. But you can't tell about a person's problems simply by the things that frustrate them. Maybe b/c of my problems, I've become a perfectionist? Or maybe I don't have any problems and I like to create them subconsciously? Ha ha ha. Seriously, I'm not getting all emotional on your ass, just trying to get a point across w/out starting an arguement over it. Let us not compare our sad stories but instead allow a place for people to vent w/out putting them down or comparing their problems to yours. Seriously, though, you can almost never tell where a person has come from or what they've gone through unless they tell you straight up. Otherwise, you're just assuming and probably doing so wrong. PLFXpert 0 #30 August 15, 2002 I FOUND IT!!! Whew! It happened in May. I had transfered $50 from one account to another. The $50 showed up in one account but didn't show that it had been taken from the account I transfered it from. I called the person whose account it was supposed to be transfered to, and sure enough, I was right. Sooooooo, I got an extra $50! I don't know where the other .95 cents is but at this point, I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! My account hasn't had any activity for a week so everything is caught up and I have the correct balance now. Thanks for your support guys. I know it's been silly but I feel much better now.
ltdiver 3 #31 August 15, 2002 QuoteI FOUND IT!!! ...I don't know where the other .95 cents is but at this point, I DON'T GIVE A SHIT! I had to laugh at myself when I read this post, PLFXpert. I used to comb over every transaction when there was even .02 difference in the totals. Since I've started skydiving I adopted a different, more relaxed approach of just writing a "ms" in the register and making the change without all the 'trauma'. "ms"? "mistake somewhere"! and I'd move on. (now large inaccuracies....still have the need to find those...and always do (eventually). Glad you were able to finally rest. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
PLFXpert 0 #32 August 15, 2002 "mistake somewhere" HA HA HA! I like that. I'm like that in general, but when it comes to money, I'm very precise. If I'm going to be able to jump every week, I need to keep track of where my money goes, how my investments are doing (b/c when I get returns, that means more jumps), etc. In this case, I'm glad I checked b/c the person who was supposed to have received a transfer from my two months ago, did not receive it and I thought they did. Turn out I had forgotten to send an e-mail to transfer, even though I wrote it in my register. Every time I see someone bouncing a check at the DZ, I'm thankful for my accurate accounts of my money. kingbunky 3 #33 August 15, 2002 ms, i like that!! kinda like the "wtfo" in the 'distance to target' column of my log book. it stands for 'way the f@ck off'. captainquim 0 #34 August 15, 2002 when you've hooked in your cheque book too low, you use the trusty plastic as an out. did you not get taught this during AFF?

I'll have to use that KB :) That's funny that Ben Franklin said that too...cool!

PLFXpert 0 #37 August 15, 2002 <----cut up her credit card and paid it off in full after AFF. Yea, I had a credit card "for emergencies" before I started skydiving. It was maxed in a month after I started. For a year I was making minimum payments on it and finally I cut it up and paid it off in full. I'll never get another one. You'd be surprised what good credit can do for you. I get things MUCH cheaper and as a result, I have more $$$ to skydive. Whatever route you take, whether it be maxing credit cards or keeping track, as long as you get to skydive, who cares?. I'm working my ass off b/c one day, I'd like to compete and another day, I'd like to retire and skydive for the rest of my life. But like I said, different people take different paths to their goal. I think we all have the same goal, just different ways of getting there. To each his own. As for my log book, mine is not as creative as wtfo, but I would just write an infinity symbol.
