I think most ppl may think im a little bit(alot) of an asshole unlit they meet me and realize that the inflection in which I speak(type) is pure fun and games. but honest.... if I were to say something behind your back, I would say it to your face first... so far most ppl have understood.!! I also agree with Quade, that a huge amount of negativity comes from within a given demographic. Be it whites, blacks, gays, anyone, I think that a huge part of why walls build between us is our inability to laugh at ourselves. I think we all have a responsibility to respect one another, don't get me wrong. Like I said, there is a difference between "joking about" and "making fun of" something. I think where the problems occur is when the distinction is not made, and someone sees any sort of humorous comment that is made about anyone outside of the jokers demographic as wrong. We had 2 lesbians come out to do tandems and they were in the hanger getting geared up holding hands, then kissed. I think every guy on the dz ran up to manifest to try to get on that load after they kissed. The tandem instructor was grinning from ear to ear the whole time.
