What's Your Average Number of Jumps

Recommended Posts

(Number of jumps) / (Number of Days since your first jump) = Average jumps per day since you've been jumping.

Here's mine:

153(jumps) / 297(days) = 0.5152(jumps per day)

Can anyone beat that? :)

Yup.

347 jumps. 571 days. 0.61 jumps/day

But that's nothing. One of the packers at our DZ has been jumping a little over a year and has around 700 jumps.

Another guy has been at it right around two years and is well over 1000. In fact, I hear he buys his jumps in blocks of 1000. :o

Do people actually care? As long as you jump and have a good time it doesn't matter what you're average is. People put too much importance on "i have more jumps than you, so i must be better." My average happens to be .32, but i know people like Jessica can't jump alot cause of her job, Jfields just had a new baby....

I think quality is much more important that quantity.:)

Yep. I'm at 0.6, but if only count the last few months or since April I'm at 1.33

4552 days. 888 jumps. 0.2 jumps per day.

But in the same time period I've raised a kid - by myself - from age 6 to age 18, and watched him graduate from high school. 547 of those days were spent stuck on the ground due to a back injury/surgery. I worked at $6 and $7 an hour jobs for the first 2050 or so days. And I packed 1000+ parachutes to earn jump money during those first 2050 or so days too.

A lot of people may have more jumps than I do, and they may have piled them up in a shorter time frame... but not many people have overcome the obstacles I've put in front of myself and still gotten themselves up (or back up) in the air.

My average since getting back in the air after having three vertebrae fused is .53 jumps/day (183 days, 97 jumps). :P

Well if Scott can have a contest......I wanna have a contest, too!
Okay, the average number of people you've kissed in freefall (sure I count! That way I'm not a slut!)

25 (# of people kissed in freefall) / 313 (number of jumps)= .07987
Wow! See! I'm not a skyho! My percentage is under 10%!!!!
There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
