Alti 2 N3 battery type?

I have to send my N3 back for LCD repairs (international post) and discovered today that there is an ICAO ban on lithium batteries/devices with lithium batteries. I'm assuming being an internal rechargeable battery it would be lithium based so just wondering if anyone has had trouble posting them before?

Needles to say I bullshited and posted it anyway, just curious... Is this a recent ban?
