Slappie 9 #1 July 1, 2002 I don't think we can post polls anymore. So anyways I'm curious. I work for a large US Company. We've been given Thurs the 4th off only. I've talked to alot of different people and it's the same. Some get Thur & Fri though. I remember back when the 4th fell on a Thur or a Tues you'd get both days to turn it into a long weekend holiday. Only time you'd just get only the 4th off was when it fell on a Wed {like last year} or it was a weekend day and they'd give you the Fri or the Mon off to make it a long weekend. Is this new to me or what? What I'm curious about is. Who gets what? And if this is new... I would assume with 9-11 and everyhing since they {the gov & employers} would want us to be able to celebrate and enjoy being American.
