Skyflier 0 #26 June 21, 2002 I'd be surfing alot more. I've gone from twice a day every day to about ten times in the last year.Either that or shooting speed ;)
pilotdave 0 #27 June 21, 2002 Hmm, lets see... I'd probably be sitting at my computer, reading mindless stuff, and watching TV. Hmmm, sounds familiar! Although I wouldn't be the president of a skydiving club so I wouldn't have so much crap to deal with all the time, so it would make my life better. YEAH RIGHT! Muenkel 0 #28 June 21, 2002 I'm not as deep into the sport yet as you folks are. But I was a really happy person prior to discovering skydiving last December. The thought of skydiving just added a whole new dimension of happiness and excitement. I think I would probably be living a really full happy life but wondering to myself..."something's missing"."JANE, HOW DO YOU STOP THIS CRAZY THING?"Chris
Jessica 0 #29 June 21, 2002 I would be sitting in a piercing parlor, getting my 80th piercing. If you're addicted to adrenaline, you'll find it somewhere. It's the Vicodin™ talking.
skybytch 273 #30 June 21, 2002 Working at a stupid job with people I didn't like and sitting around watching tv, getting high and being bored when I wasn't working.I like this life much better. pull & flare, lisa"Try not. AndyMan 7 #31 June 21, 2002 Quoteyou had never started skydiving/it didn't exsist. I'd be in a different country, 80 pounds heavier, making a third as much money as I do now, driving a 10 year old car, fitting in perfectly with my old friends who still haven't grown._AmICQ: 5578907MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com AIM: andrewdmetcalfeYahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
captainquim 0 #32 June 21, 2002 I am also a quiet person by nature and don't make friends easily (especially since i rarely share the same interests and get bored with small talk and a lot of people so i just do my own thing even if it means i am alone) but my skydiving friends (especially ones i've jumped with) somehow share a special bond.YES! I am not the only one!it's gonna be a yabba dabba do time, as a famous philosopher once said.

freeflir29 0 #34 June 21, 2002 I'd be doing all the other things I used to do before skydiving. Chasing chics every weekend at some bar, Hunting every species of mammal and bird on the planet, probably drinking more. Skydiving gives me an excuse to NOT drink on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. gravitysurf808 0 #37 June 22, 2002 If not for skydiving I would porbably have to return to my old job as an erotic dancer at the school for the blind. 'If you die before me can you ask if they'll let you bring a friend?" ~unknown

billvon 2,991 #39 June 22, 2002 Well, I had ended my flying obsession and was well into my climbing obsession, so I probably would have stuck with that if I hadn't found a new obsession. I'd still be designing stuff though - been doing that since I was 13.
ECVZZ 0 #40 June 22, 2002 I'd still be shooting IDPA matches, and reloading ammo every waking moment to keep up G. Jones"The Mayfly lives only one day. And sometimes it rains..."
skydiventom 0 #41 June 27, 2002 I would probly still be scuba diving a lot. I almost always went by myself tho. I know what you mean. It's so nice to be able to go to the DZ and meet with friends. I like shooting pictures because it brings joy to so many people. riggerrob 643 #46 June 28, 2002 If I didn't skydive, I would be in jail for chocking the shit out of some triple-addicted, lying sack of shit in a sargent's suit. Seriously, skydiving helped me retain my sanity while I was in the military.
james1010 0 #47 June 28, 2002 just now starting to get serious about the sport myself, but I'm starting to understand what y'all are saying . . find myself thinking about it all the time. This sport will hopefully keep me out of the same old friends garage, getting drunk every weekend . . . but, you never know.

bellyboy 0 #49 June 28, 2002 Hang on just a minute JP , is that why you're always grouchy on a saturday morning....? Remind me to only jump with you on a sunday... I'd still be riding mountainbikes all weekend and getting horribly cut up in the process , I'd be a lot wealthier , but have less friends , more scar tissue and my oldies would still regard me as more sane, funny old world. See you at the DZ JP, Ed.
