Hey guys,
I will be going to San Francisco for a month on a business trip. Any of you from that area? would love to meet some of you, and make some jumps out there. I am planning on visiting Monterey Bay, Bay Area and Lake Tahoe Drop Zones.

Don't forget about Hollister, Davis and Lodi.

I spent a few weeks up there and did 5 dropzones in 2 days. Byron, Lodi and Davis on day 1 then Monterey Bay and Hollister the next. Wanted to hit more but the weather crapped out and I had work. I ended up spending the rest of my time at Davis anyhow. It's good jumping up there in Norcal. I'll be sure to return sometime.

Lake Tahoe was reported to be closed last fall.....

Thats a bummer. I've visite there a number of times before I got into skydiving, and the scenery was incredible. Too bad to hear that it's closed because I really wanted to get a different perspective on the view.[:/]

You are a lucky man. Make sure to do the little trip inland to feel the Byron looooove! Definitely one of the most friendly DZs I've jumped at... great crowd. :)
As for San Francisco: Tommy's Joynt on the corner of Geary and Van Ness.... Brisket dinner plate! U-Lee's on the corner of Jackson and Hyde... Potstickers! It'll change your life! ;)

Actually if my memory serves me right, I believe I have visited this establishment, and as I recall I enjoyed it greatly. San Fran Rocks!!! Went there 3 times last year, spending a total of 3 months there. I love Cali!

It's the stink coming from his caravan that worries me.....

See you at Byron - I live near Sebazz too , I'm sure either of us can show you the way .

Sebazz - how about taking some time off from Car races and the like to come over and get away from that damnned fog out at the coast? You know you want to!

"Ah the hell with you all!" - my boss.

You know a long time ago Lummy and I thought up of a jump to several Califronia Dz's in one day. Even the little ones. Starting in Davis, to Lodi, to Cloverdale, to Byron, to Santa Rosa, to Hollister, to Monterey, to Madera, to Taft, to Lompoc, to Ellsinore, and Perris.......

We gotta organize it....

No doubt.
View from altitude in Northern Cal includes water and green grass.
Southern Cal, brown desert.
Northern Cal: Windy (at least when I was there)
Southern Cal: Dust Devils.
Northern Cal: King Airs and Caravans and Cessnas Oh My!
Southern Cal: Hey, What's a 'Cessna'

People are just as friendly wherever you go. I haven't came across any of those 'cliquie' dropzones people write about in Parachutist.
