3 days at a boogie and I am SOOO tired :)
Let's see, I met Chop Chop n Sassy (NO pie TYVM) and Cornholio from DZ. 2 jumps from the chopper (1 first) which was totally AWESOME, 2 Cross country (another first) with 12 others from 16k which was SOOO cool watching these guys do Crew and hanging upside down in the harness (another 1st)and watching the fog roll into the bay at Sunset SOO SO SWEET :) and the second Cross Country was my hundreth with 6 others. Tried to teach Cornholio and John how to sit fly (still another 1st) and how to hang from the Bar on the Skyvan (Yes.. another....). Pylon races with Ric, Jim, Chris, Steve, Karen, Ed and who else? (yeppers, you got it), 2 way with Jilly Bean (Welcome Back to the skies Gal ;), couple of really nice sit fly jumps, once where I hung on for a good 2-3 minutes while everyone else went out (almost all of them firsts) I was thinking about hanging on til after the raft dive, but I knew they were going to do a go around and besides the raft dive had quite a few skygods on it and I probably would NOT have made a good impression by doing that ;). An ALMOST cutaway, I felt something flapping on my back after doing some flips and when I looked over my shoulder, it looked like my brake line was flapping around (and yes I packed it). Got on my belly and deployed where it went right into a spin and I went right for my handles but then it clicked to try and release brakes first which stopped the spin right away. I was at 3.5 when I deployed so I knew I had a few seconds and I had made up my mind that I would release brakes and if that didn't make a difference, straight to plan B (strange how clearly I remember that). Did my control checks twice and landed uneventfully....
and lastly, Get better Quick Ryan :)

uhh....I traveled to Eloy...hubby went to CO for a race, so that explains the first #. 6 of the jumps were the SSL meet. I went, had no one to jump with, threw together 3 other unsuspecting innocent souls, and we competed in the A class. Against ourselves, but we did pretty good for having 3 people on the team who'd never competed in 4-way before! Since we technically won the gold medal, and it was my first one...beer for that. Of course, the prize was a case of beer, so it sort of canceled out...LOL!
the last jump on Sat. was a 31-way and my first formation load, so one case for that.
other 3 jumps were fun 8-ways...thanks Don!
it was a fun weekend.

Overall great weekend...I did a couple of things for the pre-second time, but I really don't think they are beerable! I do owe a bottle to some rigger out there....now I just need to figure out who that rigger is....

one reserve ride/14/0

busy week-end, started out on friday, doing a test in a decompression chamber, to find out, how we react on levels between 25000 and 30000 feet in regards to the O2 problems.
Had some great jumps on saturday and sunday celebrating one of my buddies 500th jump by doing a sunset track out of 17000 feet with 10 jumpers.
had to cut away one main (one advantage when you have two rigs) due to my mistake.

and one happy woman when I came back from the drop-zone;) :)

blue ones

Number of DZ's (2):10:1

I drove down to the Illinois Valley Parachute Club for their 'Jumping Jack Flash Boogie'. To call it a boogie was a bit of a stretch, but Mullins was flying so it was fun. Sadly, Mike spent a big part of the day on the ground, cause there weren't enough jumpers to keep him flying.

Oh well. I did a bunch of jumps with Sunshine and Val, plus some awesome coach jumps with Andy Anderson and Jeff Mullins.

Andy was also helping out tremendousloy with my swoops, which I'm slowly turning up. Thanks Andy!

At about 4 sunday, I ditched IVPC and drove up to Chicagoland because I wanted to drop my rig off for a repack. The sunset load was loading when I pulled into the parking lot, of course they held it for me while I geared up.

A sweet head down followed by a lame swooop.... All was good.

The only first was for being at IVPC (minier)

Not really that interesting of a story. Just got to watch some peeps swoop under power lines. Nothing i'll ever be brave enough to try.
