riggerrob 643 #26 October 9, 2013 Were you referring to "geometric porosity?" ... subtracting the holes (drive vents, apex, etc.) from the total fabric area (measured in square feet)? GP is distinct from fabric porosity (measured in cubic feet per minute). RiggerLee 61 #27 October 9, 2013 Yes, geometric porosity. The projected area is too small and the fabric area is too large. But if I subtract the vents I get almost exactly 425. Does the Perserve V have toggles? I seem to recall the FFE canopies having them, but it surprises me that you could get good stearing out of something with that much shape. I would think that you would need more billow around the skirt to really close off the vents.
